Mexican Government in Danger of Collapse, Due to Drug Cartels and Rampant Government Corruption, Says U.S. Army Report:By Marc Chamot
The U.S. may be forced to intervene on Mexico’s behalf to prevent that country’s “rapid and sudden collapse” at the hands of organized crime, drug cartels, and rampant inner government corruption, according to the U.S. Army.
A report from the Joint Operating Environment, compiled by the U.S. army’s highest command and intelligence, says that Mexico could become a failed state in matter of a few years.
The U.S., which has a 2,000 miles border along with Mexico, it could be pretty devastating for the United States, if Mexico were to get involved into a civil war, there could be massive out of control refugees flowing into the United States. It’s things that we only read and hear about that can happen to any third world country when at war. Something that’s very common in war torn continents like Asia, Africa, and some nations in the Middle East.
Since Mexico’s President Felipe Calderon has deployed Mexico’s army to fight against organized crime, corruption, and the drug cartels, it has brought chaos for the stability of that country. This battle is being waged against the four major drug cartels, which has claimed the lives of 5,367 members of the Mexican security forces and the criminal elements last year. These drug cartels have infiltrated all levels of the army, police, judiciary and government.
Mexican politicians, its military, police, and judicial infrastructure are all under sustained assaults, and are under heavy pressure from the outside, and within, and from these criminal elements to stop them from what they are doing. If the Mexican government collapses, it could bring serious consequences and uncertainty, not only for Mexico, and Mexicans as a whole, it could also put more drugs; bring in more crime, and homicides, and a catastrophic flow of Mexican refugees into the United States.
The Colombian governments, along with American help, haven’t been able to pull the plug on the illicit cocaine industry that is currently destroying Mexico.
Because of our porous borders with Mexico, and with the constant patrolling of our maritime waters and shipping ports, it has been getting harder for smugglers to bring in their illicit drugs into the United States; it has made northern Mexico a more desirable and easier location for the drug cartels to import illicit drugs into the United States. Most of their cities and towns along the Mexican side of the border are ravaged with crime, and killings, it’s becoming a virtual no man’s land out there.Today’s Mexican problems can be largely traced to former Mexican President Vicente Fox’s disastrous years as Mexico’s president, he spent his years fraternizing with popular Mexico’s Hollywood crowd, movie stars, the Tele-Novela crowds, and with American politicians, and presidents laden with speeches about giving Mexican illegal aliens their rights to be in the U.S.. Instead of watching, and keeping these drug cartels from forming and ravaging his country. He also allowed public corruption to go on, that’s currently running amuck in his country, Vicente Fox allowed all of these travesties to occur that has manifested into what Mexico is today.
Had the U.S. government totally sealed off its southern borders from the get go, Mexico wouldn’t be having these life threatening problems now. They wouldn’t be having American illicit guns that are causing this carnage going into their country, and we wouldn’t be having illicit drugs coming into America, (and then there wouldn’t be the need for these drug cartels posted along northern Mexico wreaking havoc, and it doesn’t take a real genius to figure that one out Mr. President and Democrats,) and there also wouldn’t be illegal aliens coming into our country either. I’d hate to imagine what it would be like, and the chaos that would create for our nation, if other than a stable Mexican government is running that country.
For exactly that reason, it’s imperative that President Barack Obama not only finishes the border wall, but sends in more American troops to patrol our southern borders, he must also do all he can within his power to help our south of the border neighbors to survive. Not only by giving them financial aid, he must also provide technical support, drug trafficking experts, and even military support if the Mexican government asks for it.

U.S. military report warns 'sudden collapse' of Mexico is possible
EL PASO - Mexico is one of two countries that "bear consideration for a rapid and sudden collapse," according to a report by the U.S. Joint Forces Command on worldwide security threats.
The command's "Joint Operating Environment (JOE 2008)" report, which contains projections of global threats and potential next wars, puts Pakistan on the same level as Mexico. "In terms of worse-case scenarios for the Joint Force and indeed the world, two large and important states bear consideration for a rapid and sudden collapse:
