Rash of Gun Killings Who's to Blame? Since Virginia Tech Massacres, U.S. & State Mental Health Institutions Still Broken:

Rash of Gun Killings Who's to Blame? Since Virginia Tech Massacres, U.S. & State Mental Health Institutions Still Broken:
By Marc Chamot

UPDATED April, 3 2009: Well, was Marc Chamot right? This issue is being questioned once again at this moment after today's New York shootings that left 13 people DEAD.

Tragedies Reveal Legal, Health Care Lapses "As authorities work to secure the site of a deadly shooting rampage in Binghamton, New York that claimed the lives of more than a dozen people, questions concerning the tragic incident continue to mount. In the days to come, one question will be paramount: Why?

In 2007, following a number of unrelated shootings, ABC News investigated the possible causes of these tragedies. That report follows.

All have that same theme of alienation and isolation," said Beverly Hills-based forensic psychiatrist Dr. Carole Lieberman. "Many of these shooters have been picked on by their peers or felt 'out of the loop."

Motive sought in murder-suicide that left 6 dead Another apparent murder-suicide in an upscale neighborhood of Silicon Valley that left three children and three adults dead, it had the police searching Monday for a possible motive and sorting out the relationships between the suspected gunman and his victims.

A woman in her mid-30s managed to escape from the house where officers later found five bodies in a "very horrific" scene, police Capt. Mike Sellers. She was hospitalized in critical condition with multiple gunshot wounds, Sellers said.

What’s going on with all of the killings in America? Is it the sad state of the economy really to blame for the mass killings going around our country lately? Anti-gunners must be having a field day with all of these gun related killings that is becoming almost a daily occurrence. Anti-gunners are probably saying, see? I told you so; this is what we’ve been talking about all along. Americans shouldn’t own guns, they can’t handle their guns and they are killing far too many innocent people.

I will tend to see it their way, and they may have a pretty good argument about guns, but then there’s another problem going on in America that may not all be gun ownership’s faults.

Yes, we all have been talking about the chaotic economical situation that could be the root cause of these mass shootings, but that’s not all of the reason.

The truths of the matter, the real jerky problem folks, and these are the real cold hard facts; we’ve truly got a country FULL of NUTCASES. Just plain and simple, we’ve got nutcases galore roaming around! People that should be locked up in mental institutions, instead they are plainly walking about, and guns don’t mix with crazy people. When you get a nutcase with a gun, all you get is a match with a powder-keg and a bunch of dead people.

The mental health institutions in America are totally broken, and a prime example? Is the state of California, a place where lunatics have more rights as a person than does any of his victims? Mentally disturbed people are just roaming “Free” across America. Back in the forties to sixties we had sanatoriums and active mental institutions, our politicians in government, including former governor Ronald Reagan have made sure they would shut them down.

Ronald Reagan, our beloved former Republican American president, yes, as governor he SHUT down all California sanatoriums and mental institutions, he thought that “it was just wrong holding people against their will!”

If the Virginia Tech Massacre wasn’t enough to show us, the realities in how mentally disturbed some folks really are, who are roaming amuck in America. Like the Korean born Seung-Hui Cho, the Virginia Tech killer, who happened to be the real poster child for the reason to be putting these people behind bars or locking them up in a mental institutions.

But Washington and other states have not done a DAMN thing to address the crazy bins, the loonies and their problems, the havoc that they are causing on American society since the Virginia Tech massacre.

These politicians should have been picking up these crazies and locking them until they were cured or dead. These politicians figure that the lives of people being killed by these crazies are small in comparison, to the heavy costs of money and freedoms for these mentally disturbed people.

Shootings, murder-suicide raise broader question: Is violence linked to recession?
By Patrik Jonsson Patrik Jonsson

Atlanta – Four Oakland, Calif., police officers shot down. An Alabama man is strolling around a small town with a rifle, looking for victims. Seven elderly people shot dead at a North Carolina nursing home. And on Sunday, six people, including four kids, died in an apparent murder-suicide in an upscale neighborhood in Santa Clara, Calif. The details in all these cases are still emerging. In most, the exact motive has yet to be determined – or may never be fully understood.

On a broader level, however, such incidents may be happening more often because an increasing number of Americans feel desperate pressure from job losses and other economic hardship, criminologists say.

"Most of these mass killings are precipitated by some catastrophic loss, and when the economy goes south, there are simply more of these losses," says Jack Levin, a noted criminologist at Northeastern University in Boston.

Direct correlation between economic cycles and homicides is difficult to prove, cautions Shawn Bushway, a criminologist at the University at Albany in New York. But an economic downturn of this breadth and depth hasn't been seen since data began to be collected after World War II, he also points out. "This is not the average situation," Mr. Bushway says.

Still, criminologists do say that certain kinds of violent crimes have risen during specific economic downturns. The recession in the early 1990s "saw a dramatic increase in workplace violence committed by vengeful ex-workers who decided to come back and get even with their boss and their co-workers through the barrel of an AK-47," Mr. Levin says.

And in the midst of this downturn, one study released Monday in Florida finds a link between domestic violence and economic tragedies like job loss and foreclosures. The Sunshine State saw an almost 40 percent jump in demand for domestic-violence centers, an increase related to the state of the economy, the study says. George Sheldon, secretary of Florida's Department of Children and Families, calls the situation "the worst I've seen in years," according to the Associated Press.

The potential link between murder-suicides and the economy is an area of study for the Violence Policy Center in Washington. "We've been looking at this issue of whether there are more murder-suicides … [and] a pattern is starting to develop that may point in that direction," says Kristen Rand, legislative director at the center. "Between the Texas Tower shootings in the 1960s until the McDonald's massacre in 1984, it was extremely rare to see these types of mass shootings. Now we're seeing them much more often, and they do seem to happen in spurts."

To be sure, the gun-control debate is heating up, especially after the recent Alabama shootings where a man killed 11 people, including him, using semiautomatic, military-style weapons. Gun-control advocates point to gun proliferation as a major cause for the loss of life, especially when families turn on themselves. That appears to be the case in the Santa Clara shootings.

"Studies have shown over and over again that a gun in the home is more likely to be used against a family member than an intruder," says Juliet Leftwich, senior counsel for Legal Community against Violence in San Francisco.

But the root cause of the violence goes deeper than gun ownership, some argue. "Social isolation is a huge factor" in a country as large and transient as America, which places big emphasis on personal results, Levin says. "If you look at where many of these mass killings have occurred lately, they're in states that have lots of strangers, transients, and drifters, who don't have support systems to get them through tough times," he says.

In the incident in Oakland, which occurred March 21, a parolee shot two officers during a traffic stop, then shot two others during an ensuing manhunt. The parolee also died. It was the biggest single-day, gun-related loss of life for law enforcement in the US since 1993.

Foreign Homosexuals Ok to Marry & Get Permanent Green Cards if U.S. Congress Have their Way:

Foreign Homosexuals Ok to Marry & Get Permanent Green Cards if U.S. Congress Have their Way:
By Marc Chamot

Some in congress are pushing hard for immigration rights for foreign homosexuals. This is exactly what I mean folks, the foreign invasion in America, a small group of people that want us to change our laws and ways of life to only cater to their every whim!

This congress wants to allow same sex foreign couples called, “permanent-partners” the same immigration rights as men and women. It’s being pushed through congress by ultra-liberals like U.S Rep Jackie Speier of San Mateo who calls it “unacceptable!” She’s among other groups in Washington like Barbara (bow-wow) Boxer, U.S. Rep Jerrold Nadler of New York want it to also lead to permanent resident status for foreign homosexuals and their theme for this action? “The law shouldn’t be cruel” folks “that’s what it does; it’s a gratuitous cruelty to keep making foreign homosexuals choose between their countries and their partners.”

Whoa there! Just hold on a minute! Time-out! Since when have foreign homosexuals had any rights? They know our immigration marriage laws when they came here and got hitched folks, we have laws on the books and they need to abide by our laws.

Do we have to change every time a cotton-picking-foreigner doesn’t agree with or like our laws? When is this SANITY going to stop?

This all stems over a 2002 deportation order of a lesbian Filipina who got married to another woman during the San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom’s 2004 same sex marriage fiasco. Her name is Shirley Tan, a San Mateo lesbian with two boys. She and her other former immigrant lesbian, Jashley Mercado, now wants our politicos in Washington to redefine federal immigration laws and take out the man and woman part out of it. Tan had been ordered to be deported since 2002, knowing full well that she was on deportation orders and she got married anyway to another woman in 2004.

And this lunatic lesbian partner of Shirley Tan, Jashley Mercado has the audacity to say “Why can’t they just leave us alone?” “Because I am not a man so that I cannot petition her for a green card, they are punishing us.” “My two kids are suffering” "The main priority is to keep us all together," Mercado said. "We fought our families for our relationship. We are both from very close Catholic families. We stood up for our lives and now, just because of this we will be separated?"

Tan said whatever happens; she cannot live without her sons. "They are my life now," she said. "I cannot be apart from them."

"I’ve Got a simple answer for both of you lesbians, instead of trying to change our laws, just take your two sons with you, nobody will be suffering then. And don’t let that 747 plane door smack on your rear-ends, on your way to Manila!"

I’m running out of tissues folks; here is that poor sob story:

Binational, same-sex couples face immigration problems
By Mike Swift
Mercury News Posted: 03/29/2009 12:00:00 AM PDT

Shirley Tan's calm and happy life — San Mateo County housewife, mother of twin 12-year-old boys, singing in the church choir — blew up at 6:30 a.m. on Jan. 28, with a knock on the front door.

Within minutes, the immigration agent standing there had the 43-year-old Tan in handcuffs. She is scheduled to be deported to her native Philippines on Friday.
If Jay Mercado, Tan's partner of 23 years and the mother of her sons, were a different gender, it's highly unlikely that knock ever would have come. As a U.S. citizen, Mercado could have sponsored a wedded spouse for legal permanent residency. But although Mercado and Tan married in San Francisco in 2004, federal law limits the definition of marriage to a man and a woman, and same-sex partners of U.S. citizens don't have a route to legal permanent residence extended to straight married couples.

It might be too late for Tan and Mercado, but on behalf of thousands of similar same-sex couples, Congress is considering changing federal law to allow same-sex "permanent partners" the same immigration rights as opposite-sex married couples. U.S. Rep. Jackie Speier, D-San Mateo, who called Tan's situation "unacceptable," is among a group in Congress, including Democratic Sen. Barbara Boxer, who hope to change immigration law to mirror many countries in Europe that allow gays and lesbians to sponsor a same-sex partner for legal residency.

"I support gay marriage, but that's not the question here," said U.S. Rep. Jerrold Nadler, a Democrat from New York City leading the push for legislation to also allow same-sex couples access to permanent resident status. "The law shouldn't be gratuitously cruel "...That's what this does — it's a gratuitous cruelty to keep making partners choose between their countries and their partners."

Mercado and Tan, who first appealed for political asylum for Tan in 1995 and thought their case was still pending, said they were completely unaware a deportation order had been issued in 2002. If Tan is deported this week, they will have to decide between separating two sons from one of their mothers, or moving the family to a country they have never known.

"It's hard when they are breaking up families," said a tearful Mercado, as she sat next to Tan in the house the couple owns overlooking the Pacific Ocean. "Why can't they just leave us alone? Just because I am not a man, that I cannot petition her (for a green card), they are punishing us."

"The thing is," Tan said, "it's not only me who they are punishing. It is mainly my kids, because they are innocent. They are the ones suffering." Cultural limbo

The federal Defense of Marriage Act, which limits marriage to a man and a woman, means gay couples in states that allow gay marriage, civil unions or domestic partnerships have no legal status for the purpose of international travel or immigration.

Some argue that extending immigration rights to same-sex partners would increase the risk of fraud and further tangle the nation's already controversial immigration system.
"It's always a bad idea to let the culture wars be played out in our immigration policy," said Steven A. Camarota, director of research for the Center for Immigration Studies, a Washington think tank that favors curbs on immigration.

With no way to obtain legal permanent residence, many gay couples exhaust years of temporary U.S. student or work visas. But ultimately, as with Los Angeles filmmaker Michelle Paymar and her French partner Veronique Martinaud, there comes a day of reckoning.

Paymar, 51, said an attorney bluntly told them: 'You can stay in the United States and fight this year by year, or you could apply to emigrate to Canada, and you can get on with your lives.' "

Paymar and Martinaud moved to Canada last year. Yet, many who leave the U.S. never feel comfortable with their decision.

Many Californians keep their 415, 310, or 408 area codes, which ring in foreign living rooms. Some still watch the Bay Area 10 o'clock news on satellite or cable TV. They have organized expatriate clubs that meet in cafes in Vancouver and Amsterdam, where they might gather to watch Election Night coverage, or just share tips for finding a good doctor in their new country. Watching from afar, many were stunned by the passage of Proposition 8, even though it didn't affect their immigration status.

They worry about aging parents back home. They struggle to relaunch careers in a new country. And they bridle when U.S. immigration officers won't recognize a spouse they legally married abroad, because in America, they aren't really married.

Some, like Martha McDevitt-Pugh, a former Silicon Valley software manager who fell in love with a Dutch citizen a decade ago and ultimately moved to the Netherlands, would be on the first flight home if they could. Even though she moved to a country where she speaks the language, and where her marriage entitles her to work legally and obtain citizenship, she still deeply misses her mother, two brothers, a sister, nieces and nephews, who live in Silicon Valley — now an 11-hour plane ride away.

And she misses her native California, and high tech's work culture. "I landed there, and thought, 'This should feel great,' " McDevitt-Pugh said of Holland. "And it didn't feel great at all."

Even visiting the U.S. can be stressful for same-sex binational couples.

When McDevitt-Pugh flew into the Bay Area from Amsterdam with her wife, Lin, she was nervous about her documents bearing their hyphenated married name. Her legal marriage in the Netherlands does not exist in the eyes of U.S. law.
"It's the U.S. government that won't recognize my marriage," said McDevitt-Pugh, relieved after successfully clearing customs on a visit this week to celebrate her mother's 80th birthday. "It's still my name."

Others say they have traveled such emotional distance that even if same-sex marriage were legalized, they wouldn't come back.

"That phrase 'liberty and justice for all' ''? That's an empty promise for people like us," said ex-San Franciscan Tim Sally, who moved to Canada in 2007 with his German partner of 18 years, Bernd Vey.

Now living in Vancouver, the men will become Canadian citizens next year.
"I was angry and somewhat bitter about having to make this choice," Sally said. "But sometimes fate deals you a different hand than what you were expecting, and it ends up being a kick in the pants that moves you to a different level in your life."

Not settled.
If choosing between a partner and your country is difficult, children make the choices even more agonizing.

It's unclear whether Tan can avert deportation. At this point in the process, it may require an act of Congress. Tan fears for her safety in the Philippines — as a girl, a relative who wanted her inheritance murdered her mother and a sister and shot Tan in the head.
Tan and Mercado are both the legal parents of their boys, who are citizens. Tan gave birth to the twins, who were conceived with eggs from Mercado, a naturalized citizen born in the Philippines.

Child Support is in Chaos over Current Massive Job Losses; Family Courts Overwhelmed with Can’t Pay Child Supporters:

Economy in Crisis: Child Support is in Chaos over Current Massive Job Losses; Family Courts Overwhelmed with Can’t Pay Child Supporters:
By Marc Chamot

New alarming report is showing a drastic rise in child support defaults, too many Americans are just losing their jobs. As I said before on my blogs folks, what in the hell are President Barack Obama and the Democrats doing about jobs?

Job losses is now affecting every economical spectrum and way of life in America.

It seems like jobs are not being addressed seriously by these herds of politicos, look around and everywhere, who is really addressing these unemployment issues? The mainstream Medias are bringing it up, I’ve been bringing it up, this New York Times story is also bringing it up, but is Washington really listening? It’s like their focus are only in baling out bankers, insurance industries, Afghanistan and Iraq, but no jobs are being created for regular working folks.

“The same story echoed a dozen times through Room E8 of Manhattan Family Court in a single day: fathers, pinched by the recession, pleading for a reduction in child support. A salesman at Saks Fifth Avenue who is estranged from his teenage daughter said he feared he would be included in the next round of layoffs expected at his store.”

“The court will typically order fathers to pay a portion of their unemployment benefits in child support. But if their unemployment runs out, and they have no income, the court will temporarily resort to what is called “open support,” Ms. Marks said. What that means, she explained, is you don’t have to pay any child support.”

Fighting Over Child Support after the Pink Slip Arrives
By JULIE BOSMAN
March 29, 2009

A man who had been laid off from a factory said he managed to find work at Mets games, but for less pay, $9 an hour. Another man, on the verge of eviction, begged for a break from his $315 monthly payments.

“Last week was my child’s birthday, and I couldn’t get him a present,” he said, burying his head in his hands. “This is killing me.”

Since January, Family Court in New York has been filled with urgent requests like these, alarming judges and overwhelming calendars with what are known as modification cases.
Similar patterns are unfolding across the country: In Clark County, Nev., which includes Las Vegas, the district attorney’s family support division has received an unusually high number of calls from parents who previously paid diligently but are now having trouble.

The child-support office in Milwaukee saw a 20 percent spike in the number of custodial parents seeking enforcement of support orders last year, with most of the increase coming in the fall as the unemployment rate there began to creep upward.

To explain why they can no longer pay as much per month, the parents, typically fathers, cite layoffs, cutbacks in work hours and the loss of homes to foreclosure. Presented with documentation of falling incomes and rising expenses, judges often have little choice but to grant the downward adjustments, even in the face of protests from mothers struggling to support children.

Magistrate Matthew Troy, a stocky, gregarious man with a white horseshoe mustache who is one of 15 judges hearing such cases in Manhattan Family Court, said the decisions can be brutal. “It’s not a trickle down — it’s a direct route,” he said of the effects, especially in poor families. “Everybody who relies on the father gets hit.”

The reductions force some families to apply for welfare for the first time, while others become increasingly dependent on food stamps or risk eviction when they come up short on rent.

“In many cases, it’s devastating,” said C. A. Watts, the director of the district attorney’s family support division for Clark County. “Some of the parents absolutely depend on that money coming in. It’s a domino effect. The custodians need the money to feed and clothe the children. If the money stops, it puts a burden on the custodial parent, and they have to come up with funds another way. They’re not going to let their children starve.” Full Story:

Did Barack Obama’s & Cronies Tell the Russians that Americans Would be disarmed by September? & California’s New Gun Control; AB 2062 the Banning & Restricting of Gun Ammunitions:
By Marc Chamot

Constitution in Chaos:

There is one thing about the Internet, to maintain some semblance of credibility one has to dig deeper in the rumor mills that are abound on the Net. I strive very much to keep the Marc Chamot Report reputable, and laden with factual materials.

I’ve had a steady growth of readers for sure, and most are repetitive readers amongst the new. It can definitely be a war zone out there and one thing that I do see is that the mainstream media is failing us big time.

With having said all of this, did President Barack Obama tell Russia that “all private guns will be confiscated by Sept 5th, 2009?” According to the John Burke Society posted on Saturday, March 21, 2009 that Barack Obama’s cronies did say something to that order, the source? Russia of course, is there some realistic tone behind this thing? See for yourself:

FSB: Sept. Gun Confiscation & US Will Join Global Currency
March 20, 2009

All Private Guns Will Be Confiscated By September 2009, US Tells Russia
Kremlin reports on the extraordinary meeting held today between President Medvedev and former United States Secretaries of State Henry Kissinger (under Nixon), James Baker (under Bush Sr.), Charles Shultz (under Regan), former United States Defense Secretary William Perry (under Clinton), and former US Senator and top defense expert Sam Nunn, are stating that the Americans are acknowledging for the first time their acceptance of a New Global Order in which they seek to partner with natural resource rich Russia and the oil rich Nations of the Middle East in order to ensure their survival into the 21st Century.

Leading the United States to the shocking conclusion that their very survival is at risk has been the evaporation of 45 percent of the World’s wealth which has caused a rapid plunge in Global manufacturing leading to a 49 percent collapse in US trade exports which the International Monetary Fund is reported has caused the World’s economy to shrink for the first time in 60 years and has lead Canada’s Central Bank chief David Dodge to state the World is “facing a long and deep recession that will fundamentally alter the nature of capitalism”.”

Well, let’s look at the date shall we? September 5th 2009, is six months away, can President Barack Obama and his cronies begin to disarm American gun owners by then? I personally believe that is pretty much impossible for that man to be able to accomplish this feat. It would take at least 2-4 years and by then the Republicans or the Democrat’s replacements will be in power.

But what’s really intriguing about this whole subject matter is that there may be a way for Obama and his cohorts, the Democrats, to succeed in pushing gun controls that they want, not by banning the guns itself, it’s more by banning ammunition, making access to ammunitions very difficult, and also by having strict control on ammunitions plants. Basically it’s like okay, if we can’t have your guns, and then you won’t have the ammunition to use for your guns, same results, and right? Now, that is the way that these anti-gunners want to play the game.

This is exactly what is happening in Barack Obama’s strong hold in California folks! California is next to the state of Missouri, where the Democrats of Hell, are hell bent for President Barack Obama’s political agendas folks!

Remember all the talk when President Bill Clinton was president? Do you remember the gun confiscations and all of that? Then why are former Clintonites, like Hillary Clinton and others within the Barack Obama administration? Is it to finish a job that former president Bill Clinton couldn’t accomplish?

Gun Owners of California Website: See AB 2062 also see, CA Assembly Bill 2062 AMMUNITION RESTRICTIONS Next Wednesday, March 25, the Assembly Public Safety Committee will consider legislation that would require gun owners to obtain a permit-to-purchase before buying handgun ammunition.Introduced by State Assembly Member Kevin De Leon (D-45), Assembly Bill 2062 puts ammunition sales in the crosshairs. AB2062 would require that law-abiding gun owners obtain a permit to buy handgun ammunition and would impose severe restrictions on the private transfers of handgun ammunition. Applicants for a permit-to-purchase would be required to submit to a background check, pay a $35 fee, and wait as long as 30 days to receive the permit.

Under AB2062, it would be unlawful to privately transfer more than 50 rounds of ammunition per month, even between family and friends, unless you are registered as a handgun ammunition vendor in the Department of Justices database. Ammunition retailers would have to be licensed and store ammunition in such a manner that it would be inaccessible to purchasers.

The bill would also require vendors to keep a record of the transaction including the ammunition buyers name, drivers license, the quantity, caliber and type of ammunition purchased, and right thumbprint, which would be submitted to the Department of Justice or the number of his handgun ammunition purchase permit.

Vendors would be required to contact the purchase permit database, to verify the validity of a permit before completing a sale. All ammunition sales in the State of California would be subject to a $3 per transaction tax. Lastly, mail order ammunition sales would be prohibited. Any violator of AB2062 would be subject to civil fines. Please contact the members of the Assembly Public Safety Committee and your State Assembly Member TODAY and respectfully urge them to oppose this onerous attack on our Second Amendment freedoms. Hey Barack Obama and Democrats, What About Jobs? What about the Massive U.S. Job Losses? If French Riots Are any Indication, Not so Good:

Hey Barack Obama and Democrats, What About Jobs? What about the Massive U.S. Job Losses? If French Riots Are any Indication, Not so Good:
By Marc Chamot

“U.S. ongoing jobless claims rise to record 5.56 million
First-time claims hit 652,000 for last week, underscoring lack of jobs.”

The hits just keep on coming friends and there is no end in sight. We’re still sliding down the hill work wise, and at a much rapid rate. I don’t see any economical fixes coming from our politicos.

Actually, what I’m seeing is the same old Washington partisan bickering going on, about AIG bonuses, Barack Obama’s gaffes, and taxes with outrageous Democrat pork spending going into oblivion.

When are jobs for Americans going to take the center stage? Without jobs we don’t have money to spend and we don’t have an economy, and the world’s economy goes into chaos. It’s just simple economics 101 folks that even a retarded Washington politician can understand.

When is all of this sanity going to stop? The media and politicians have been creaming all over themselves, with the steady climb in the stock market at Wall Street, while Americans are losing jobs at record pace.

What in the heck is Washington waiting for? Do they want another France? Where there is a growing violent unrest over economic crisis that’s affecting their jobs. In France, worker protests spread, “French workers burned tires, marched on the presidential palace and held a manager of U.S. manufacturer 3M hostage yesterday as anger mounted over job cuts and executive bonuses.

Rising public outrage at employers on both sides of the Atlantic has been triggered by executives cashing in bonus checks even as their companies were kept afloat with billions of Euros and dollars in taxpayers' money and unemployment soars.

As the U.S. administration seeks ways of recouping some of the $165 million in bonuses paid to executives at insurance giant American International Group Inc., kept afloat by $170 billion in taxpayer bailout money, French President Nicolas Sarkozy is threatening new laws on bonuses and golden parachutes.

Sarkozy is also trying to deflect anger against his government's failure to ward off the job losses and economic hardship that come with recession.”

You! Must Bring back the industrial manufacturing plants that were lost to China and Mexico for the past decades. America is what made the world’s economy, and working Americans were the ones that spent the money to make globalization work.

Seriously folks, I have never seen a whole bunch of incompetent and inept politicians running this country in my entire life. It’s just beyond pathetic, don’t you think?

ECONOMIC REPORT
By Ruth Mantell, MarketWatch
Last update: 9:42 a.m. EDT March 26, 2009

WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) -- Showing the labor market's considerable strain, the number of people collecting state unemployment benefits reached yet another new record, jumping 122,000 to a seasonally adjusted 5.56 million, the Labor Department reported Thursday.

The four-week average of these claims rose 123,750 to stand at 5.33 million -- in itself a record high since the U.S. began compiling these statistics -- also as of the week ended March 14.

And for the week ended March 21, first-time claims for benefits rose 8,000 to 652,000, a level that's fully 78% higher than the same period in the prior year. The four-week average of these initial claims fell 1,000 to 649,000.

The claims report shows that businesses are laying-off workers at a rapid pace and that finding replacement employment for those people out of work is ever harder. Initial claims represent job destruction, while the level of continuing claims indicates how hard or easy it is for displaced workers to find new jobs.

The insured unemployment rate, representing the proportion of covered workers who are receiving benefits, rose to 4.2% from 4.1%, reaching the highest level since May 1983.
The ongoing push higher from continuing claims bodes poorly for the labor market, wrote Dan Greenhaus of Miller Tabak in a research note prior to the data's release.
"With each passing week of claims at these levels, the threat of double-digit unemployment becomes more and more realistic," Greenhaus wrote.

Next week, the government will report what have become pivotal data for the financial markets: nonfarm payrolls and the unemployment rate. For March, analysts polled by MarketWatch are looking for more than 600,000 jobs to have been lost, along with an unemployment rate of 8.3%.

In February the economy shed 651,000 jobs, and the unemployment rate rose to 8.1%, the highest rate in more than 25 years.

The claims data come from state unemployment offices' reports on actual filings, not a statistical sample or a hunch. The four-week average is considered a better gauge of labor-market conditions because it smoothes out one-time distortions caused by holidays, bad weather or strikes.

Typically, state unemployment benefits run out after 26 weeks for those who are eligible. A total of about 1.5 million people were collecting benefits under a federal program that extends unemployment benefits past six months.

Benefits are generally available for those who lose their full-time job through no fault of their own. Those who exhaust their unemployment benefits are still counted as unemployed if they are actively looking for work.

Elsewhere Thursday, the Commerce Department reported that the U.S. economy experienced its most violent contraction in a generation during the fourth quarter, with real gross domestic product plunging at a 6.3% annualized seasonally adjusted rate. See full story.

Killer of 4 Oakland Cops Should Have Served Life, Only Got 6 Years for a 2002 San Francisco Carjacking that Left a Victim Near Dead:
By Marc Chamot

The drum beats of anti-gunners are sounding very loud and clear in the San Francisco Bay Area over the cold blooded killings of four police officers. This spectacle of anti-gunners cries are coming from none other than the Randolph Hearst’s, San Francisco Chronicle.

And the Hearst’s Chronicle is wondering as to why they are going out of business? For the past two days, they have been under the banner for more stringent gun controls.

For example, Chip Johnson, their Oakland California dead-beat journalist, came out with an article called, Police Deaths provide leverage to toughen Gun Laws: : “If history repeats itself, the fatal shootings of four Oakland police officers on Saturday afternoon will become the next benchmark in the national debate on a federal law to ban assault weapons.”

Chip Johnson goes on to rant about how the city of Oakland should get together with the Feds, and yes, you got it, Senator Dianne Feinstein to ban a slew of semi-automatic weapons to prevent these types of tragedies to ever occur again. Chip Johnson goes on to say that pro-gunners have no excuses this time, their pro-gun rants is becoming old news and should be ignored.

Even though, the Hearst Chronicle’s has been very supportive for the fallen police officers, they have also been pretty sympathetic for the killer. They came out defending the killer in editorial forums, like “Unemployed ex-felons are ticking time bombs.” While the San Francisco Chronicle and I agree that the California parole system is flawed, they totally fail to address the real issue behind this tragedy.

The San Francisco Examiner, who did some court research, discovered that this cop killer, Lovelle Shawn Mixon not only had a rap sheet, but was behind the brutal 2002 beatings and shooting during an attempted carjacking in San Francisco. But the real issue behind this tragedy was addressed by their competitor in, Difficult case resulted in plea deal for Oakland man, where Francisco Cardenas was yanked from his 2001 Chevy truck by Mixon and another partner in crime, pistol whipped, shot and left for dead.

“Mixon faced a maximum penalty of life without the possibility of parole, plus an additional 20 years for the gun charges on the carjacking assault case,” His sentence for the crime at the time demanded life in prison, but the Liberal San Francisco justice system on his case ended up with a plea bargain of six years in prison for that heinous crime!

I have no doubt that these four Oakland police officers would still be alive today, had the San Francisco court systems done their job and incarcerated this very viscous criminal for life.

As I had posted on my other blog, I squarely put the blame for these officer’s deaths on California’s dysfunctional court systems, mainly with the city of San Francisco. When you got a bleeding-heart liberal newspaper like the Hearst’s Chronicle, in a bleeding-heart city like San Francisco who is always beating around the bush, protecting criminals while trying to ignore the true causes as to why these criminals run amuck in our society.

Don’t Tread on Me; Missouri Information Analysis Center Says, Ron Paul, Bob Barr and Me, Those Who Complain & Support Third Parties Are Terrorists:
By Marc Chamot

According to the Missouri Information Analysis Center, the Marc Chamot Report is a terrorist organization. And any other dissenting voices that are getting sick and tired in watching our great nation slowly being destroyed by these anemic, brainless politicians are now considered TERRORISTS!

Marc Chamot Blogspot fits their criteria to the Tee folks! I’m a Libertarian-Independent, and I can’t stand either party in power, I am very anti-NAFTA, and I’m pro-constitutionalist and anti-corporate welfare and anti-political corruption that infests this great nation like a plague.

I’m watching foreigners flooding my country like an invasion, and they are taking our jobs away. I’m also watching the total decay of our American infrastructure, of what America used to be, and we’re not happy with what America has become and will become.

At least Ron Paul, Bob Barr and I have the real guts to go out there and to really tell it like it is.

This alarming story came across on one of my Net buddies’ blog. Political Conservative posted the video on his blog. It caught me a little off-guard, I had to take the time and think about it. But my position on this troubling American political trend is both alarming and not very surprising.

I think that the people and the citizens of Missouri should be gravely ashamed to have such anti-democracy politicians in office. They should get rid of the whole lot as soon as possible.

If being a dissenting voice in America that is warning American society in how our government is slowly chipping away our freedoms, if I’m being called a domestic terrorist because of it, so be it.

I have predicted over a year ago, those who follow my blogs that the day of reckoning for American politicians in America is coming soon….and very soon indeed.

Response around the Web over this Issue:

If You Support Third Party Candidates You Might Be A Domestic Terrorist
Have you heard about the MIAC Report? The Missouri Information Analysis Center did a study to help authorities identify domestic terrorists. It warns that most militia members are either constitutionalists or associate with third-party political groups.Check out this video of Glenn Beck and Penn Jillette."The people that are speaking out, the people that are Ron Paul, Bob Barr (supporters), the people who are saying there's some problems with the government, the people like you (Glenn Beck) ... are not planning violence. They're actually working within the system. The loud nuts, the people that really speak out - if there's going to be some problem from them, it's going to be gathering everyone together. What they're afraid of is not the violence, what they're afraid of is so many people are getting so disgusted with a fake two-party system that's really a one-party system. These people may actually get traction. It's the bumper stickers they're afraid of not the guns." -- Penn Jillette

Missouri report on militias, terrorists draws criticism
COLUMBIA, Mo. A new document meant to help Missouri law enforcement agencies identify militia members or domestic terrorists has drawn criticism for some of the warning signs mentioned.

The Feb. 20 report called "The Modern Militia Movement" mentions such red flags as political bumper stickers for third-party candidates, such as U.S. Rep. Ron Paul, who ran for president last year; talk of conspiracy theories, such as the plan for a superhighway linking Canada to Mexico; and possession of subversive literature.

"It seems like they want to stifle political thought," said Roger Webb, president of the University of Missouri campus Libertarians. "There are a lot of third parties out there, and none of them express any violence. In fact, if you join the Libertarian Party, one of the things you sign in your membership application is that you don't support violence as a means to any ends."

Missouri Information Analysis Center says you might be a terrorist
A document compiled by the Missouri Information Analysis Center for Missouri law enforcement agencies had some sketchy information about warning signs for domestic terrorists.

Missouri police given chilling instructions
Timothy BirdnowPolice in Missouri apparently are being instructed to keep on eye on conservatives.
According to this AP article the government of the state of Missouri has issued a report "informing" state police that people with third party bumper stickers on their cars or who believe the NAFTA superhighway is an attempt create a North American Union are subversive members of paramilitary militias and potential terrorists.

The Missouri Information Analysis Center (a division of the state police) has compiled an enemies list of warning signs for state police officers, signs that are supposed to help them determine potential terrorists. Such signs include Ron Paul bumper stickers or "Right to Carry" handgun stickers (I have to wonder: does it include Support Your Local Police stickers, too?) and our friendly state troopers are warned to proceed with extreme caution against such radicals.

Don’t believe me? See for yourself. (pdf.)

Who is being targeted in this report? The state police are warned that Christians, "sovereign citizens", those opposed to abortion, tax revisionists, and anti-illegal immigrant advocates are potential would-be terrorists.

Oh, and you better not fly your flag upside down; that was given as another example of something a terrorist would do.

Were these an isolated incident, it would be easy to dismiss. But couple this with some other politically motivated incidents, such as Barack Obama`s "truth squad" in which he encouraged the prosecution of people who protested him too aggressively (bear in mind he had St. Louis Prosecuting attorney Jennifer Joyce and St. Louis County`s Bob McCullugh on the squad, as well as a number of Democrats holding high positions in law enforcement statewide), along with Obama`s proposal for a national militia trained and funded like one of the branches of the military, and you have a very disturbing trend here.

Does anyone remember the Democrats using Judge Evelyn Baker to keep the polls open late in St. Louis (a notorious Democrat stronghold) during the election of 2000? (Lacy Clay, then state senator, had promised days before the election to do just that.) It seems that there are some in this state who have no problem using the force of law to repress their enemies.

Is Washington Politics Imploding? AIG Disaster May be the Beginning of Democrat’s Undoing & Republicans Gaining in Next Election Cycle:

Is Washington Politics Imploding? AIG Disaster May be the Beginning of Democrat’s Undoing & Republicans Gaining in Next Election Cycle:
By Marc Chamot

One thing that’s very unique about the Marc Chamot Report is that I have no allegiance for either the Democratic and Republican parties. Basically, I have the luxury of looking from outside the box in, and watching the political mess in Washington that is sinking deeper into the gutter is an American tragedy in itself. It’s quite unfortunate that in just two months into the Barack Obama presidency, we’re witnessing the unraveling and self destruction of the Democratic Party.

If Americans as a whole don’t realize it by now, the American political structure in Washington D.C. is totally broken. It’s something I’ve been saying for over a year, but unfortunately Americans still can’t wake up and smell the coffee as to what’s really going on in Washington.

The AIG scandals are a prime example in how Washington politicians have lost control in managing our nation, and also exposes the pandering going on with U.S. corporate entities, which was something that Barack Obama and the Democrats promised to change during this past election cycle which hasn’t happened.

The AIG bonus scandals that Democrat Chris Dodd is tied to, has infuriated this nation to the levels never seen before. Americans are now realizing that the $787 billion economic stimulus bill that Obama and the Democrats pushed for, AIG is a prime example as to why stimulus packages for failing American banks and other corporations will not work nor help Americans.

President Barack Obama’s action behind his failed stimulus is beginning to have serious consequences for the Democrats. Obama is still insistent on passing his $3.6 trillion budget plan that would bring this country into historic deficit magnitude never seen before.

It’s becoming quite alarming seeing the Democrat’s real opportunity to take this nation by the reigns for better improvement, but instead are self destructing into oblivion. Policy after policy of bad ideas, from lack of border enforcements, job creations, to trade controls, and bad bailout policies keep piling up and piling up against these inept Democrats.

It’s never been so eloquent in the way the Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi has recently been acting in the house of reps by going after those AIG executives bonuses, a real sign of Democrat Party in despair, in their attempt to salvage a golden opportunity of having total control in the nation’s political game, which is slowly evaporating into thin air by the next election cycle.

It’s also a wake up call for president Barack Obama and the Democrats that Americans are no longer patient, and will no longer tolerate ineptness in governance, from what used to be the norm in Washington D.C.

With the current failures of newspapers, the very same ones that supported and went totally gaga over Barack Obama, are now collapsing behind their own weight of incompetence, of their total lacking in their coverage for the real truths as to what really led us into these tragic economic times.

What once looked so obscure for Republicans, it’s starting to look rosy again for the party that was once pined against the ropes. "In the past few days, Republicans have been heartened by some astonishing public opinion numbers. Pollster Scott Rasmussen found that more people, by a margin of 41 percent to 39 percent, would support a Republican over a Democrat in the next congressional race. Another poll taken for National Public Radio showed similar results. Given that Democrats have recently trounced Republicans on that same question for a long time in the past, the new results are raising eyebrows on Capitol Hill.”

Mexican Border Strategy Shifting; from Illegals & Drugs Enforcement, to Cash & Weapons into Mexico & Blaming Bush Administration for Mexico’s Demise:

Mexican Border Strategy Shifting; from Illegals & Drugs Enforcement, to Cash & Weapons into Mexico & Democrats Now Blaming Bush Administration for Mexico’s Demise:
By Marc Chamot & Source San Francisco Chronicle

Folks! This is what I mean by the Democrats and their idiotic ways of thinking and managing or running this country that doesn’t make any sense at all.

Incompetent California Democratic lawmakers, with President Barack Obama have begun to shift U.S. border policy with Mexico, abruptly changing their focus from illegal immigration and drugs coming into the U.S., to the flow of cash and weapons from the United States that is fueling a savage war between the Mexican government and the powerful drug cartels.

Here we go again, that same old IDIOTIC talk, from Di, not that sweet lovely princess Di that passed away years ago; it’s another Di, like in this American tragedy, and like in a despicable and imbecile of a senator Di, such as Senator Dianne Feinstein. “It’s unacceptable to have 90 percent of the guns that are picked up in Mexico and used to shoot judges, police officers, mayors, kidnappings, that do terrible things come from the United States,” said Senator Dianne Feinstein at a hearing Tuesday. She went on to say, “I am appalled that you can buy a huge 50-caliber sniper weapon anywhere and it’s not restricted to a firearms dealer, you can just buy it.”

Another idiotic Democrat politician from San Jose tries to throw some weight around the problem:

Representative Zoe Lofgren, of San Jose, the moronic chairwoman of the House Judiciary Committee panel on immigration and border security, faulted the Bush Administration for focusing on northbound immigrants and neglecting southbound arms and drug cash that some analysts contend are destabilizing the Mexican government. She goes on to say “It was a priority policy decision that tens of thousands of agents would go arrest dishwashers and busboys, meanwhile letting the machine guns get smuggled into Mexico, which contributed to a very serious problem in Mexico that should concern all Americans.”

Excuse me? You, despicable, and pathetic politician from San Jose, stop talking like you’re on drugs. Had that border fence been built as it was supposed to, and had you and those silly Democrats supported more troops on our border with Mexico, we wouldn’t be having this conversation today.

Actually, there wouldn’t have been any reason for the drug cartels to be there in the first place, and secondly, this is all the fault of open borders advocates, like President Barack Obama, Senator Dianne Feinstein, Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Rep. Zoe Lofgren and most other Democrats who support that agenda, for the people that want illegal aliens in our country, mainly for groups like the United States Chamber of Commerce.

We also got to remember that this was the very same Senator Dianne Feinstein, who is also known as a registered California gun owner, was behind the 1993 bill to ban assault weapons that expired in 2004.

These Democrats don’t want to touch that issue again because they cannot stomach the results, which lead to the 1994 Newt Gingrich’s Republican control of the House and Senate, because of Di-Fi’s assault weapons ban.

If you, the Democrats really want to solve this problem? You can’t have your cake and eat it too. If you really want to help Mexico, it will take some tough love on immigration, sealing off the borders, either by a wall or by using U.S. troops, then there’ll be no more illegal aliens and drugs into the United States and there’ll be no more money and weapons into Mexico. It’s a win-win situation; it can’t be any plainer than that, you brainless piece of waste.

Focus shifts to flow of cash, arms into Mexico
Carolyn Lochhead, Chronicle Washington Bureau
Wednesday, March 18, 2009
(03-18) 04:00 PDT Washington -

U.S. weapons
Government officials say 90 percent of the arms in the drug wars come from the United States, including grenades and rocket launchers. Southbound drug cash is estimated as high as $25 billion a year. With the death count last year in Mexico at 6,290, more than the United States has lost in the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, Mexican officials are pleading with U.S. counterparts to help stop the southbound smuggling and focus on reducing U.S. drug consumption.

Feinstein produced a letter from Mexican Ambassador Arturo Sarukhan urging "shared responsibility" for the drug problem. Sarukhan said that in 2007, there were 7,600 federally licensed arms dealers in U.S. border states and 50,000 nationwide, but the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms inspected just 5 percent of them. An assault weapons ban sponsored by Feinstein expired in 2004, but there is no appetite in Congress to renew it.
Reasons for shift.

The shift in focus is driven as much by changes on the ground as by the differing political priorities of Republican lawmakers seeking a crackdown on illegal immigration and Democrats favoring expansive new legalization. Anecdotal evidence suggests that U.S. demand for Mexican labor has plummeted with the economic downturn. Jobs in the construction industry have dried up, unemployment among Latinos has risen sharply, and California farmers say they are seeing farmworkers who left to become roofers return to the fields.

In roughly the same period, Mexican President Felipe Calderon, hailed as a hero by U.S. lawmakers, opened an all-out offensive against drug traffickers, throwing more than 45,000 military into the fight. The offensive ignited a violent reaction by the cartels and destabilized a drug market that had operated quietly with tacit regulation and protection by Mexican police. The traffickers are now battling each other and the government, with violence breaking out even in such resort towns as Cancun.

Tijuana, near San Diego, is the base of one of the most powerful cartels, the Arellano Felix Organization. The drug syndicates are using extreme violence and intimidation against government officials, judges and journalists, including beheadings, kidnappings and military-style offensives that at times overwhelm the government.

Same routes used
For the United States, the problem is not confined to the flow of drugs into the country, said Rep. Loretta Sanchez, D-Garden Grove (Orange County), in an interview. "The same routes and the same methods used to traffic drugs can be used to traffic undocumented workers," she said.
Drug traffickers increasingly are taking over the human smuggling business once dominated by "coyotes," Arizona Attorney General Terry Goddard told the Senate committee, turning illegal immigration into a "high-dollar crime" prone to the same violence. He cited a case in which illegal immigrants were told after their arrival at a Phoenix drop house that the price for their smuggling had doubled. When one of the group objected, he was shot.

Lawmakers are not sure how high-powered weapons get in the hands of drug traffickers, but some come from the U.S. military, said Sanchez, who held a hearing on the traffickers last week. "We don't keep very good track," she said, noting reports she reads on the Armed Services Committee "about how they don't know where $1.5 trillion of assets are located, I mean, the Department of Defense doesn't have a good scanner system for all the things it buys."

She said some confiscated weapons are Vietnam War vintage, some are homemade, some come from other countries. "Wherever there's a buck to be made, there are arms dealers," Sanchez said, "Including in the U.S."

Although some analysts contend that Mexico is in danger of slipping into a "failed state," Anthony Placido, chief of intelligence for the Drug Enforcement Administration, testified at a Senate hearing on Monday that the violence is not a sign of state failure so much as "acts of desperation" by the cartels and a sign that the Mexican offensive is succeeding.

He cited an increase in the price and decline in quality of cocaine, which now arrives from Colombia over land routes through Mexico after U.S. law enforcement disrupted Caribbean shipping routes in the 1990s.

Asked repeatedly whether they needed more resources or changes in laws, U.S. officials said they have the tools they need. Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano has begun shifting enforcement focus to border violence, issuing a directive to that effect in January. U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents have conducted several recent high-profile raids confiscating millions of dollars in drug cash.

U.S. assistance
Congress this month allocated $300 million to help Mexico deal with the problem as part of an ongoing initiative that provides training, equipment, intelligence and other aid to Mexican law enforcement as part of the 2007 Merida Initiative signed by Calderon and former President George W. Bush.

U.S. and Mexican officials are also in discussions about how to beef up the minimal random screenings of travelers headed from the U.S. to Mexico.

Sanchez said when she has crossed the border going south, "What happens is that they do what we call a random check: Your car comes across, you roll down your window, you push a little button. If it gets a red light, you get taken over into secondary (for a further screening). If it gets a green light, you keep going."

She said there is no profiling of vehicles or even cross checks of licenses in a data base.
"When we are crossing back into the U.S., our officers already have the license of your car. They know who should be driving it. They've got a rap sheet on you if that's the case. They are trained in looking at your responses, the weight of the car - is it too heavy for the number of people who should be in there? ... This type of check is not done by the Mexican government at this point, to my knowledge."

Mexico Retaliates over NAFTA-U.S. Mexican trucks Restrictions, but is Barack Obama Turning his Back on NAFTA Reforms?

Mexico Retaliates over NAFTA-U.S. Mexican trucks Restrictions, but is Barack Obama Turning his Back on NAFTA Reforms?
By Marc Chamot & Source; Latin Business Chronicle:

According to a pro-Latin, NAFTA and anti-American worker website says Mexico is right to retaliate against the United States for its violation of NAFTA.

“The U.S. Congress decision last week to stop the temporary truck program initiated by the Bush Administration. The decision shattered faint hopes for the expansion of such rights to a larger number of trucks, and terminated a measure that had provided some respite for ongoing bilateral trade tensions, IHS Global Insight analysts Marion Barbel and James Auger said in a commentary today. And under the North American Free-Trade Agreement (NAFTA), truck access on both sides of the border should be fully opened."

LBC also says that, “The economic crisis makes it more urgent than ever to pass free trade agreements that can boost U.S. exports and help companies here save badly-needed jobs.”

Actually, let the burritos fly, because, it’s not true at all. It’s been proven that NAFTA has completely ruined the American industrial sector, and it’s about high time that our government begins thinking American first, rather than fracturing our nation away to accommodate, other petty countries’ economic health/wealth over our own.

So now it looks like Mexico is retaliating over congress’ recent decision to curb Mexican truckers running amuck free into our nation.

Is Mexico Tariffs a Test for Obama? “President Barack Obama is facing a taste of his pre-election threats to redo the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA). Only this time, it's Mexico that is restricting access for U.S. goods. Unlike Obama's threat, the Mexicans can do this with full backing in NAFTA."

EXPENSIVE RESTRICTIONS, “This move by the U.S. congress is a terrible blow to both Mexico's rights under NAFTA and the U.S. economy as it suffers the crisis. Restricting Mexican trucks free access to the United States costs consumers more than $400 million a year, the U.S. Department of Transportation has estimated."

But there is still that lopsided trade imbalance with Mexico that needs to be rectified:

"Today, as much as 80 percent of U.S.-Mexican trade is transported by truck, according to the U.S. Department of Transportation. Last year, U.S. trade with Mexico reached $367.5 billion. Of that Mexico's exports to the United States accounted for $215.9 billion, while our exports to the country reached $151.5 billion.”

Is Barack Obama being two faced and a liar when it comes to NAFTA? All of this because, after a heated campaign where Obama often criticized, John McCain, Colombia and NAFTA which garnered his support from the blue collar workers of America.

FORCING OBAMA'S HAND, The Mexico tariffs will force Obama to choose between respecting NAFTA and our close ally and pandering to protectionists."

"Obama has ... softened his language on trade since taking office, warning repeatedly against tit-for-tat protectionism in the midst of the economic crisis," the IHS Global Insight analysts say. "His administration has also said that it wants to move forward with bilateral free-trade deals that were previously stalled by Democrats in Congress. At the same time, the administration has run into international controversy over the "Buy American" clause in the fiscal stimulus package.

Its position on free trade thus remains somewhat ambiguous; the current spat with Mexico should give a clearer picture of where it really stands."President Obama has repeatedly stated his opposition against protectionism, as late as Saturday while meeting with Brazilian president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva."

But, Barack Obama and the Democrats are still pushing the Republican agenda in expanding NAFTA into COLOMBIA AND PANAMA FTA'S “A January 14 report by Reuters says that Obama intends to get the two deals approved by congress. In return for voting to approve the Colombia FTA, Democrats will try to work out a solution with Colombia that resolves concerns about the protection of labor leaders, according to House of Representatives Ways and Means Committee Chairman Charles Rangel. "The president-elect wants to work with Republicans and Democrats to get those trade agreements moving," he said days before Obama was sworn in as president.”

The Squeeze is on; President Barack Obama Under Heavy Pressure to Fix the Economy & Even Billionaires are Going Broke:

The Squeeze is on; President Barack Obama Under Heavy Pressure to Fix the Economy & Even Billionaires are Going Broke:
By Marc Chamot

Newspaper editorials are getting a little rough on Barack Obama these days. Even Democrats have begun to put the squeeze on President Obama to do something with our faltering economy. There are jokes abound, and not only on Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner, but on President Barack Obama. They are both totally clueless in finding a way to resolve the economic crisis. Comedians have come out with 1-800-IDEAS jokes, but really folks?

Don’t blame bumbling Geithner either; blame the “El Supremo,” who is our President of the United States.

Barack Obama had said that he would fix the economical problem, better than his former running opponent John McCain, and not only that, we have also discovered that the bailout didn’t do iota to help revive the economy. And now, President Barack Obama wants to venture into reforming health care? He hasn’t reformed or fixed the economy, so now he wants to fix healthcare.

However, whatever the facts are, it’s an absolute truth that President Barack Obama has no idea, or has the solution to solve our current economic crisis. Read my reasons as to why, which I posted before the election, A Bill Clinton Tragic Legacy NAFTA & WTO: Then Why are Presidential Candidates Barack Obama and John McCain so Oblivious in Solving Our Economic Ills?

“Did President George Bush really ruin our economy? It may seem that way, but he was only the benefactor, recipient, and abuser of that failed 1994/1995 Bill Clinton, and the Republicans under Newt Gingrich’s, NAFTA and WTO trade deals that they created. Can anyone stop this monster that’s eating away our jobs, wages, industry, wealth, and killing our economy? Yes they can, but the system will not allow them. Better yet, our politicians are in hock, or sold out hacks to foreign interests mainly China.Barack Obama’s message in helping solve our economic ills isn’t resonating with most people. He talks about it, but gives no solutions. John McCain talks about it also, but has no solutions for it either.

In truth, they both do have solutions, and they know what to do about it but have no backbone and are gutless to take on the system that created these disaster years ago, under former president Bill Clinton and the Republicans of 1994.

We’re importing more foreign workers, more than ever through H-1B and H-2B Visas. We’re selling out our nation, predominantly sacrificing American workers in favor of foreigners. While American jobs are scarce we’re still importing foreign workers in droves through H-1b and H-2B visas to pay these foreign imports less money than they would Americans. We’re not just talking about illegal aliens here; we’re talking about legalized foreigners coming here to work at our expense.

The World Trade Organization deals with the rules of trade between nations at a near-global level; it is responsible for negotiating and implementing new trade agreements, and is in charge of policing member countries' adherence to all the WTO agreements, signed by the majority of the world's trading nations and ratified in their parliaments.[4][5] Most of the issues that the WTO focuses on derive from previous trade negotiations, especially from the Uruguay Round. The organization is currently working with its members on a new trade negotiation called the Doha Development Agenda (Doha round), launched in 2001.[4][3]

From source: When it comes to illegal immigrants in the United States, many people believe that Hispanics are growing the fastest percentage-wise. In terms of actual numbers Hispanic illegal immigrants do outnumber other illegal immigrants. The estimated number of illegal immigrants in the United States is about 12 million. Mexicans make up nearly 7 million and the next largest groups are Salvadorans and Guatemalans all of which are considered Hispanic. Hispanics illegal immigrants receive media coverage often when raids occur throughout the nation or a border death occurs.

In addition, Hispanic illegal immigrants are usually made the focus of immigration debates. Many take minimum wage jobs and sometimes even work two jobs.

While there is no denying that Hispanics come to the United States in large numbers they do not hold the title of the fastest growing in terms of percentages. Since the year 2000 people from India make up the group with the largest percentage increase in illegal immigration. In 2000 there was about 120,000 illegal immigrant Indians. That number grew to about 270,000 in 2006 that represents an increase of 125%.Those Visas brokering deals were made since the creation of the WTO (World Trade Organizations). By former President Bill Clinton and the Republican controlled congress of 1994, is largely to blame for this monster.

It was all created for American corporate, globalization, greed, and American wealth distribution to other nations at the expense of Americans in massive jobs and industries loses. Subsequently these WTO and NAFTA deals brought down import tariffs from foreign products being imported into the United States. It made their products cheaper and American products higher.

Thereby killing American industries and jobs, forcing them abroad mainly to China. Meanwhile foreign industries from China and Mexico are flourishing and so are their economies, while ours have been on a steady decline. These Clinton/Republican trade deals have finally backfired big time for Americans especially under President George Bush and the past Republican controlled congress. We’re now paying for these 1994/1995 political blunders. And with the high cost of gas it’s becoming a knock out punch for most Americans. Barack Obama and most Democrats don’t seem to be on board with the offshore drilling.

To solve our economic ills, it will take reversing all of these draconian NAFTA and WTO BAD deals, and both presidential candidates have not the guts nor the desire to do it, and go against the 1994/1995 Bill Clinton and Republican system that created this mess.”

This is all a global agenda that cannot be reversed unless the president acts. It would take a lot of guts for Barack Obama to do it, it means redrawing our trade systems, and even immigration reforms to remove illegal aliens from this country. But instead, the president leans into subsidizing and using taxpayer bankrupted bailouts policies in a COWARD’S way out, when he should be taking assertive action that benefit Americans, but instead he wants to use our money to solve the problem.

Signs of confusions are all around, the ineptness way of the administration placing tax cheats in these financial governing positions. Then the administration is giving off signs of uncertainty about its own analysis of the crisis. Barack Obama now realizes that the $787 Billion bailout wasn’t enough to make a dent into economical recovery. He touted that his plan would create and save 4 million jobs, which was totally false. Instead we lost over 700,000 jobs last month.

Forbes: Billionaires Declining:
While our global economy has been hurting people, billionaires have also been damaged by our economical crisis. Billionaires have dropped by 30 percent world wide. It’s now 793 from the 1,125 last year. It’s the first time since 2003 that the lists of billionaires have fallen down sharply. The number of new billionaires fell to 38 from the 226 the previous year and there are 72 women on the list down from 99 the year previous. So the economy is basically killing everybody including billionaires ouch!

Older Job Seekers are Coming Back Into the Workforce en Masse & are Facing Tougher Hurdles:
By Marc Chamot

Job hunting is tough in these economical times, but for older job seekers is even tougher. I should know, because I am one of these over fifty, unemployed and amongst the crowd that’s just getting by.

Take Los Gatos resident Doug Horan 62, with degrees in physics and business administration, he has applied for more than 1,000 jobs over the past 18 months, with the usual call back line “you don’t fit with our scheme of things.” Does this sound familiar?

It’s tough getting older, but being older and unemployed is even tougher, and as the days go by we’re not getting any younger. The bias on older workers is so pervasive all around this country and it’s finally showing.

We are all part of a new economic social reality that is afflicting this country. With the way the market has become, many older folks have lost their nest eggs and home values.

Nest eggs and home values were something that has given older folks financial security in the past, but no more today. Unfortunately, with the banking and loans industry, it’s made it harder for people to get loans to live on, or just get by. So, it’s now a job hunting way to go for most elderly folks, competing with younger folks for what ever crumb is left in job market.

There is a sea change of economic barometers out there that’s basically showing how bad things really are. Tim Driver, founder of retirementjobs.com, an online career site for people over 50, in 2006. He has seen traffic hit through the roof lately! It has seen traffic triple, from the usual 250,000 last July to 715,000 in February. Driver said that, “The economy is driving the largest shift in the makeup of the workforce since women went to work en masse in the seventies.”

The percentage of workers ages 65 and older in the labor force climbed to 17.3 percent in 2008 from 12 percent a decade ago. 78 million baby boomers, those born between 1946 to1964, turned 62 last year.

Jack VanDerhei, research director of the Employee Benefit research Institute in Washington, who has analyzed 401K’s, account balances for 22 million baby boomers, concluded that, “the vast majority of the people do not have enough savings to get out the workforce at age 65.”

Most elderly Americans have watched their life savings and home values decline by more than 30 percent. Older folks are now coming out to compete with 20 and 30 year olds for what ever available jobs. And of course, who do you think will get hired first under that scenario?

Some like me, have given up looking for jobs; we want to become enterprising business owners or blog writers, and keep hoping that something will pay-off along the way. Employers need to shift their thinking a little bit out there, they should look at us as an asset, laden with knowledge and wealth of experiences that no 20 or 30 year old will ever have. “They’re just wet behind the ears just as I used to be told when I was their age.”

Unfortunately for us older folks, “you’re over qualified for the position,” is a common phrase heard over, and over again, while we’re being denied employment opportunities.

But really, no matter what we do, or on how we go about doing it, there is still that resilience and savvy in us older folks, that will make the younger ones envy with jealous.

“Horan is part of a new economic and social reality that is redefining the so-called golden years: Americans in increasing numbers are being forced to work past retirement, and retirees who find their nest eggs cracked are dusting off resumes in hopes of re-entering the workforce.”

Cease and Desist; Is Barack Obama Over His Head? Less than 2 Months in Office the American Economical Structure is in Ruins & Now, Some States Want their Sovereignty:
By Marc Chamot

Source: AP-“The nation's unemployment rate bolted to 8.1 percent in February, the highest since late 1983, as cost-cutting employers slashed 651,000 jobs amid a deepening recession. Both figures were worse than analysts expected and the Labor Department's report shows America's workers being clobbered by a wave of layoffs unlikely to ease in the coming months.”

There seems to be no action from this president and congress to stem the carnage, all that I’m seeing, is nothing more than inter-parties bickering going on, while this country goes to hell:

“I am not seeing any effort to save jobs and industries with this administration and this Democratic controlled congress, all I’m watching is in horror, as this nation is transforming itself into a welfare state”

I knew back around 2006, when the Democrats took back Washington, the senate and congress, things began to go downhill for most Americans since then. I also knew that when presidential candidate Barack Obama was running on promised change, we all believed in him and it seems that he’s bringing this change all right, but the wrong kind.

Since Barack Obama won the U.S. presidency, the stock market took a nose dive, 1 day of Obama as President-elect = 486.01 point drop, 2 days of Obama as President-elect = 929.49 point drop, 7 days of Obama as President-elect = 1342.62 point drop, 14 days of Obama as President-elect = 1628 point drop Obama is inaugurated as President = additional one-day 332.13 point drop Start Day Before Obama wins Election, to End Day Obama is President = 1667.51 total drop It’s really ironic, because after all, Wall Street financed most of his campaign for the U.S. presidency and they are the ones paying a heavy price for it now.

While the stock market began to collapse, millions of jobs were also being lost, and even with these new damning unemployment figures, showing the total carnage that has befallen to all Americans. It seems that the federal government is powerless and it doesn’t have a way or a solution to resolve this economic chaos into our favor.

“Since the recession began in December 2007, the economy has lost 4.4 million jobs, more than half of which occurred in the past four months. President Barack Obama called that tally "astounding.”

The more Americans become unemployed, and the more Americans go to the poorhouse because of massive stock market losses, it will put this nation into a financial brink of disaster, and not only for this country but also for the world in a matter of time.

There will be no more tax base, moneys to earn and spend to make this economy working again, and where will the money come from to support YOUR welfare state Mr. President?

As the days go by, I totally believe that this federal government has completely lost touch in their ability to lead and find proper solutions for the welfare of its peoples. For that exact reason states need to take back America, and it’s up for the states to take drastic measures for its people who are hurting through this new depression.

But there is good news out there and the fight is just beginning, because some states have just begun to take back control of matters from the feds. It could also eventually lead to withholding tax moneys from the federal government for ineptness and incompetence to properly lead this nation.

“As millions of Americans apathetically watch our beloved republic move toward socialism and increased power of the federal government to control our lives, some are not content to sit idly by and do nothing.

In response to the unconstitutional spending spree by our liberal president and Congress, governors and state legislators across the nation have decided to take action. Eight states have introduced legislative resolutions asserting state sovereignty under the Ninth and Tenth Amendments to our Constitution.

The Tenth Amendment solemnly reminds us that the powers not delegated to the United States [federal government] by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states, are reserved to the states respectively, or to the people.”

“On Feb. 18, the Oklahoma House of Representatives became the first legislative body to pass such a state resolution, specifically warning the federal government “to cease and desist, effective immediately, mandates that are beyond the scope of these constitutionally delegated powers.” A dozen other states are expected to follow in its footsteps.”

Jobless rate bolts to 8.1 percent, 651K jobs lost
By JEANNINE AVERSA, AP Economics Writer Jeannine Aversa, Ap Economics Writer

WASHINGTON – The nation's unemployment rate bolted to 8.1 percent in February, the highest since late 1983, as cost-cutting employers slashed 651,000 jobs amid a deepening recession.

Both figures were worse than analysts expected and the Labor Department's report shows America's workers being clobbered by a wave of layoffs unlikely to ease in the coming months.

"There is no light at the end of the tunnel with these numbers," said Nigel Gault, economist at IHS Global Insight. "Job losses were everywhere and there's no hope for a turnaround any time soon."

February's net job loss came after even deeper payroll reductions in the prior two months, according to revised figures released Friday. The economy lost 681,000 jobs in December and another 655,000 in January.

Employers are shrinking their work forces and turning to other ways to slash costs — including trimming workers' hours, freezing wages or cutting pay — because the recession has eaten into their sales and profits. Customers at home and abroad are cutting back as other countries cope with their own economic problems.

Since the recession began in December 2007, the economy has lost 4.4 million jobs, more than half of which occurred in the past four months. President Barack Obama called that tally "astounding," but urged the American people to give him time to let his economic revival plans take root.

"This recovery plan won't turn our economy around or solve every problem," Obama said. "All of this takes time and it will take patience."

With employers showing no appetite to hire, the unemployment jumped half a percentage point from 7.6 percent in January. That was the highest since December 1983, when the jobless rate was 8.3 percent.

All told, the number of unemployed people climbed to 12.5 million. In addition, the number of people forced to work part time for "economic reasons" rose by a sharp 787,000 to 8.6 million. That's people who would like to work full time but whose hours were cut back or were unable to find full-time work.

If part-time, discouraged workers and others are factored in, the unemployment rate would have been 14.8 percent in February, the highest on records dating to 1994.

The pain hit blue- and white-collar workers, those without a high-school diploma and those highly educated. The jobless rate for people with a bachelor's degree or higher jumped to 4.1 percent last month from 3.8 percent in January. That's the highest on records dating to 1992.

Meanwhile, the average work week in February stayed at 33.3 hours, matching the record low set in December.

More positive economic news came from the Federal Reserve, which reported that consumer borrowing increased at an annual rate of $1.76 billion in the first month of the year. Economists expected borrowing to decline at a rate of $5 billion.

Still, the small rise in January is unlikely to shake economists' views that borrowing will remain weak this year as consumers tighten their belts in the face of massive layoffs and the recession. Consumer spending accounts for about 70 percent of U.S. economic activity.

On Wall Street, stocks surrendered early gains as the severity of U.S. job losses began to register with investors. The Dow Jones industrial average dropped about 110 points in afternoon trading and broader indexes also fell.

Job losses were widespread last month.

Construction companies eliminated 104,000 jobs. Factories axed 168,000. Retailers cut nearly 40,000. Professional and business services got rid of 180,000, with 78,000 jobs lost at temporary-help agencies. Financial companies reduced payrolls by 44,000. Leisure and hospitality firms chopped 33,000 positions.

The few areas spared: education and health services, as well as government, which boosted employment last month.

Disappearing jobs and evaporating wealth from tanking home values, 401(k)s and other investments have forced consumers to retrench, driving companies to lay off workers. It's a vicious cycle in which all the economy's negative problems feed on each other, worsening the downward spiral.

A new wave of layoffs hit this week.

General Dynamics Corp. said Thursday it will lay off 1,200 workers due partly to plummeting sales of business and personal jets that forced it to cut production. Defense contractor Northrop Grumman Corp., and Tyco Electronics Ltd., which makes electronic components, undersea telecommunications systems and wireless equipment, also are trimming payrolls.

The country is getting bloodied by fallout from the housing, credit and financial crises_ the worst since the 1930s. And there's no easy fix for a quick turnaround, economists said.
Obama is counting on a multipronged assault to lift the country out of recession: a $787 billion stimulus package of increased federal spending and tax cuts; a revamped, multibillion-dollar bailout program for the nation's troubled banks; and a $75 billion effort to stem home foreclosures.

Even in the best-case scenario that the relief efforts work and the recession ends later in 2009, the unemployment rate is expected to keep climbing, hitting 9 percent or higher this year. In fact, the Federal Reserve thinks the unemployment rate will stay elevated into 2011. Economists say the job market may not get back to normal — meaning a 5 percent unemployment rate — until 2013.

Businesses won't be inclined to ramp up hiring until they are sure any economic recovery has staying power.

The economy contracted at a staggering 6.2 percent in the final three months of 2008, the worst showing in a quarter-century, and it will probably continue to shrink during the first six months of this year.

Given Friday's grim figures, Gault predicted the economy would probably shrink in the first quarter at a pace of at least 6 percent, and that the unemployment rate will rise as high as 10 percent in the first half of 2010.

Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke told Congress earlier this week that recent economic barometers "show little sign of improvement" and suggest that "labor market conditions may have worsened further in recent weeks."

Field Poll Shows Dianne Feinstein and Meg Whitman Leading California Governor’s Race & Was Proposition 8 a Ruse to Hurt California Democrats?

Field Poll Shows Dianne Feinstein and Meg Whitman Leading California Governor’s Race & Was Proposition 8 a Ruse to Hurt California Democrats?
By Marc Chamot

As expected the California race for governor has just put Democrat Dianne Feinstein with a 38% and Republican former eBay CEO Meg Whitman with 21% in the lead over their respective party rivals. These are two women with two very different philosophical political mind sets.

Unless Senator Dianne Feinstein is willing to give up her powerful seat as chairwoman of the powerful Senate Intelligence Committee, this would be her decision to make, and only hers, and unless there is a Democratic urgency for her to come home and win the gubernatorial race for the Democrats she’ll probably stay in Washington.

As it may, that urgency might just happen to get her on board for the California governors’ race because the other Democrat political players in the field are trailing by a long shot. And then there's Republican and my favorite and promising political contender Meg Whitman, she has a great shot in keeping the governor’s office open for the Republicans. Even though 54% of Republicans are yet undecided, but I am sure that they will swing her way once people know who Meg Whitman is all about.

This race could be pivotal for Diane Feinstein and the Democrats, because it could make her or Republican Meg Whitman the first female governor of California among 27 states who haven’t had any women governors in their history. It would also give the Democrats the governor’s office full-term that they haven’t had for over twenty years.

Historically, California have had more recent Republican governors than Democrats, in a lopsided 21 out of 24 years, the Democrats only recent years were the failed Gray Davis 3 years, which he served from 2000-2003 and until he was recalled for incompetence .

The only solid Democratic Party governor California has ever had was way back then, when Edmund Jerry Brown who ran and won office twice before, once in 1959 to 1967 and again after the Ronald Reagan years in 1975 to 1983. Now this Edmund Jerry Brown is running for his fifth four year term and possibly for another 8 years as governor, he’s already the longest running governor in California history. So much for term limits eh folks?

But unfortunately for Attorney General of California’s Edmund jerry Brown’s stock has dropped immensely. Before the proposition 8, the banning of marriages for homosexuals, Edmund Jerry Brown was ranked much higher than the 16% he currently has.

When he publicly came out and swore that he would defend the voters will on the initiative, but when proposition 8 the banning of gay marriage passed, he made a total about face on his promise, and basically told the voters the hell with you, I will not support you on your election results. It brought seething anger among Californian voters who voted for the issue, and if the courts do overturn proposition 8, his head will be on the chopping block with the voters.

As I had posted last December, I knew that Edmund Jerry Brown's about face on proposition 8 would ruin him from getting another shot for his five peats at the governor’s office. According to the field poll, he is now tied with a virtually unknown in California politics, Los Angeles mayor Antonio Villaraigosa.

Then we’ve got the real darling of the lot, the San Francisco mayor Gavin Newsom, and he’s rated the lowest of all Democrat contenders at 10%. Does this ever comedic and loony mayor think that he had any chance of becoming governor of California?

During his years as mayor, there were the affair scandals, the legalizing of marriages to homosexuals, and the protection of criminal illegal aliens, and including providing ID cards to all illegal aliens.

Here’s a take on some of it, when he actually made out with his best friend’s wife,

“But friends and City Hall insiders say Newsom, at the time in the middle of his divorce from Kimberly Guilfoyle, and Ruby Rippey- Tourk, had the affair while she worked as his appointments secretary.

Rippey-Tourk, a former Santa Rosa TV anchor, took a leave of absence from the mayor's office last summer and sought treatment for substance abuse in Arizona. She had once denied the affair to her husband, but last week told him it had occurred.

Tourk, who had worked for Newsom as a key deputy chief of staff before heading his re-election campaign, held a one-hour closed- door meeting Wednesday with Newsom at the campaign office where he told Newsom he knew about the affair. Then he quit.”

Even though with all of their problems, Liberal Democrats still cannot break into the voting block of the more moderate and conservative mainstream rural California and those are the voters that usually go Republican.

A Party Divided; Can the Republican Party Woo Back the "Little Guys" They’ve Lost for Common Cause?

A Party Divided; Can the Republican Party Woo Back the "Little Guys" They’ve Lost for Common Cause? Plus the Rush vs Michael Steele Tirade:
By Marc Chamot

Columnist David Sirota wrote an article called, Robin Hood Republicanism? He writes about the mood of the country, especially the anti-bailout Americans, who do not agree, nor support the bailing out of Wall Street.

Republicans as a whole have taken a better stand against these taxpayer financed bailouts over Democrats. Now, Newt Gingrich is trying to capitalize on the contrast, insisting that the GOP can recast itself as the party of the little guy. “If, in fact, it’s terrific for Citibank and GM, but bad for small business, then it’s an elite bill-it’s not a populist bill.”

While most Democrats and President Barack Obama are still tinkering around to save major American corporations, while neglecting to save the people who are most affected directly by the economy, those of us who are being hurt by these tragic economic downturns, could eventually hurt the Democrats and favor the Republicans in the future.

It’s without a doubt that most Americans do not support bailing out large corporate industries, where CEO’s are making million dollar salaries, and those that have been badly mismanaged throughout the years. People around America are still asking, “how about us?” I have said from the get-go, that the Republican Party needs to do a massive internal house cleaning of their own to get back to center stage in American politics.

They have swayed away too far from what made their party very appealing to most folks and those were the needless pork barrel spending throughout the last eight years with President George Bush. But unfortunately for Democrats, their whole basis of their party is more into social spending and higher taxes for Americans in general. It’s what brought down the state of California fiscally. California had to grapple with billions of dollars in deficit because of years of out of control social programs, when their own Democratic politicians knew that they would have trouble finding the source of new revenues to finance these expensive programs.

What happened in California, it’s now happening in a grander scale in the United States, with President Barack Obama and the Democrats. Their social programs come down to huge amounts in taxpayer costs, and by the way they are doing it, they will bankrupt this nation in no time.

Sure, the Republican Party can become the heroes again, by fighting for the average tax-payer who is going to foot these bills for years to come. But the Republican Party needs to choose their battles more wisely. By alienating their corps of potential constituency, the poor folks, the jobless, and the recent out-of-work American is a very big mistake.

For example, conservative talk radios, like Rush Limbaugh are now blaming the victims of these economic crises as the blame for the collapse. Too many people don’t pay their bills, too many people over extended their credits, too many people got too irresponsibly with their financial affairs. And while they find it easy to criticize the little guys, the usual run-in-the-mill folks like us, the out of work Americans, especially those that have seen their jobs vanishing abroad, but these conservative radio hosts fail to put the blame squarely on those banks that made these irresponsible loans, and the politicians, mainly the Republicans that allowed their jobs to be siphoned out in droves, out of the country for the past seven years.

These conservative talk radio hosts also fail to recognize that many banks, like Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae were behind millions of unscrupulous loans that triggered this disaster last year. They also fail to see and recognize that millions of Americans have lost their jobs, manufacturers have left the country, and former workers don’t have jobs and money to pay their bills. It’s that Republican right wing elitist mentality that must change, if this party wants to get back into the ball game.

To the chagrin of some of my fellow bloggers, those who are Rush Limbaugh loyal listeners, and those who had blasted me for being too critical of him in past postings, I will say this, and I will say it again. If the Republican Party keep following the Limbaugh talk radio doctrine, the Party is good as dead. Limbaugh is seriously dividing the classes between the haves and those who don’t have.

Newt Gingrich has the right idea, getting back the regular folks, the little guys, the blue collar workers that they’ve been losing for the past six years, but it’s going to be a tough sell.
New RNC chair Michael Steele is on the right track in bringing much needed strategic changes that will reform the Republican Party in the right direction. But he will undoubtedly but heads with the Rush Limbaugh’s out there, just as he did today, when he criticized Limbaugh by referring to him as an "entertainer" who can be "ugly" and "incendiary," But then on his radio show, Limbaugh fired back, calling the RNC and Michael Steele "so-called Republicans" and saying that they "need a little leadership."

"So I am an entertainer and I have 20 million listeners because of my great song and dance routine," Limbaugh said. "Michael Steele, you are head of the Republican National Committee. You are not head of the Republican Party. Tens of millions of conservatives and Republicans have nothing to do with the Republican National Committee...and when you call them asking for money, they hang up on you." "I hope that changes," Limbaugh continued. "It's time, Mr. Steele, for you to go behind the scenes and start doing the work that you were elected to do instead of being some talking-head media star."

I don’t think anybody has ever told the Republican Party to become more elitist than populist in its political philosophy. I got one solution for Rush Limbaugh, why not take your 20 million or so listeners and start your own political party, and maybe calling it the American Conservative Party? And to Newt Gingrich and Michael Steele, just do what you have to do where Democrats are failing, just get that Party rolling again for the regular Joe’s on Main Street once again. A Special Appeal to All of My Fine Friends:

A Special Appeal to All of My Fine Friends:
By Marc Chamot

A few months ago, I wrote about wanting to be a traveling writer in Mexico. On my reaching fifty-years, I wanted new changes in my life. To my readers who followed me are probably wondering, “I thought that Marc said he was going to Mexico?” Well, the problem is I never fully explained myself from that posting on, and as to why I ended up back in San Francisco instead.

I did go to San Diego. I went as far as the Tijuana border, and I did a little investigation of my own, and I discovered that if I went on through into Mexico it would have been a fatal mistake for me to take. I talked to a few people and they told me that the U.S. border patrols were advising Americans not to go into Mexico, especially around the border towns. It was too risky and dangerous, because Mexico has serious problems with the drug cartels and bandits. These Northern Mexican towns have become virtually a no man’s land, with virtually no law enforcements available to protect you.

So I decided to go back to San Francisco, where I knew some friends. Unfortunately, being unemployed and scrapping for every thing I can get to get by, it’s really tough, I had picked a bad time to be in California. My part-time job that I did have to help me along, sadly to say it’s been over this past Saturday. The print shop owner and a good friend of many years is closing his doors soon. Things have gotten so tough around here, it becoming virtually difficult for businesses to stay open.

During my time here, I have discovered that my unique assets that I own are my writing talents and my blogs. Thanks in part to my many friends at Entrecard.com; Google has also been tremendous to me. I get the best service around with Google. I am what you want to call a “Googler” loyalist. In my opinion both, Entrecard and Google for the past two months have given me the explosion in blog traffic that I never had before. Of course, I have made far more friends and lost a few. I have also gotten more positive comments and people have given me tremendous reviews, which I have posted on my blogs.

I also want to make a special appeal to all of my feed readers out there. I only know of my syndications, but I don’t know who the rest of you are, but you’re out there. Some say that feed readership is much larger than the people who actually access ones blog. Most of my syndications are through feeds, people read them, but never actually see your blog contents. I came up with a great Paypal solution to solve that dilemma, as you will see.

That is why I am linking my Paypal on all my blog posts through none HTML codes, which feeds cannot read.

Among the many fine blogs out there, those of my fellow Entrecarders are among the finest around. I believe that mine is also pretty unique. Not only I post articles on current events and political things, I also do a lot of research to base my thesis and back up my opinions. I know that sometimes some of my stories have irked some people, I have seen some followers pull out because they don’t agree with what I write or say. But heck, that’s what blogs are all about and my traffic keeps on rising, that’s the important thing, isn’t it? I absolutely want to keep on doing what I’ve been doing for these past few months.

Through my blog surfing’s I possibly discovered something that I could do, and make a little money at the same time. I have run across many blogs that write about their travels abroad. They post their destinations, places visited, their experiences and photos. It’s all fine and well, but with our economic situation, I don’t think that many of us have the money and capacity to travel abroad these days.

What I haven’t come across are blogs that write about traveling across America, blogs that write about the uniqueness of rural America, places to visit, places to eat, about its peoples and photo layouts. I think that Americans in general will be more apt to drive within 500 miles from their homes to visit the places I write about, rather than to be spending money on a lavish vacation abroad. It’s a kind of Americans helping other Americans in times of need.

That’s what I want to do. I want to take on, with possibly readers supported, some contracted syndications, and advertisers sponsored trip across all 48 states that are located in our mainland. It’s a journey that may take up to two years on Greyhound buses. Why on a greyhound bus, you may say? It gives me a whole lot of time to prepare on my projects and write. I can pay my fares from stop to stop in between. It also passes through rural America.

I want to write about our people, in a non political way. I have my political blogs to do that, believe me. I will not let you down either, the Marc Chamot Report will still be around no matter what. I also think that by having closer relations with rural Americans, writing about what they have to offer and put it on the Net, as to what they think, their needs, and what their problems are, and on their economical situations. This may also help my other blogs considerably with new wealth of information for you.

I am looking to start this new blog venture soon. But, it takes money, not a whole lot of money, but it does take some money to get it started. That is why I am going to begin here, by posting a Paypal account on my blogs to get the ball rolling.

What I will do, is explore on what blog services gives me the diversity to put ads on. I love blogger, and Google blogger has been good to me for the past year and a half, since I first began blogging. Maybe some of you could recommend me something just as good.

What I will also do, is design my travel blog very simple. I will be only promoting my paid advertisers that will offer you their best American made farm made products, from jams and jellies, nuts, to arts and crafts and jewelry. I will also promote my paid sponsors, and link up to my syndications, and unless donors and sponsors want to remain anonymous, I shall respect all of their wishes. If some major magazine, newspaper or website wants exclusivity into some of my articles and photos first hand, I will offer that option for an agreed price.

I also feel that getting to know America is a great place to start. Hopefully, and maybe, something unique could occur that benefits all of us.
