No Justice for Jay Justice; Screwed by His Former Union & Work Stolen by Illegal Immigrants, another Casualty of American Economic Hardships:
By Marc Chamot

Jay Justice was a friend of mine. He may have been one pain in the butt, but he was a good friend. Jay was a career carpenter, he was into drywall.

Jay has been out of work for over two years. I met Jay at the San Francisco Public Library over two years ago, and if anybody is a good case study on how they emotionally go down the tubes due to the economy and illegal aliens, Jay is the one!

Once a big tough guy; after putting in over 15 years with his union, Carpenters Local 22, they abandoned him entirely, during the course of that time, they, his former union caused him to lose his life sustaining benefits through union treachery
.
During the past two years, I have seen this poor guy go through serious bouts of depression. You see folks; my friend Jay Justice died last week, but however his depression finally got the better end.

I must admit Jay kept me pretty busy with our daily phone conversations. Jay was always depressed and he depressed me more, we sort of depressed each other. I tried to steer him the right way.

I used to kid him or make jokes about him, but over a year ago and I stopped, when I saw the pain he was going through. I went through that very same pain of depressions and being unemployed, I knew what Jay was going through.

Jay was depressed about his finances, loss of jobs and his physical well being. He had high hopes in the beginning and I saw his hope eroding away from him slowly, I also noticed he was going through his savings like there were no tomorrow.

I told Jay a number of times to take it easy with his money, it’s even tougher when you’re broke and homeless, but he wouldn’t listen to me. Jay would always ask me, “Marc, I don’t know how you can do it?”

I told him how, I repeated it over and over how, but Jay wasn’t cut out being totally broke and for the homeless life. While Jay had the cash, I suggested he buy an RV, but sadly, Jay couldn’t make it a year in an RV.

You see; through his desperation, Jay Justice got screwed by his own union; Carpenters Local 22, they are the ones that caused him to lose his monthly benefits. His former union used trickery, by enticing him to come back to work after a two year break, for $40 an hour three months ago, while he was receiving benefits.

Jay went back to work and then they fired him after 4 to 5 days of work, where he lost ALL his monthly benefits for having ruined his quarter. Jay ended up losing all his monthly unemployment paychecks and relied on his savings to survive.

I told jay a number of times, stop throwing all your money away. Being unemployed were a struggle for Jay, and all this should have never happened. Jay once had over $30,000 saved, through his deepened depression, I saw him slowly blowing it all away. You see, Jay passed away at 43, with less than $180.00 to his name.

The saddest thing about it all, Jay Justice was replaced by younger and cheaper illegal alien at his former union. The treachery of his union, they asked Jay to partner with an illegal immigrant for a few months, until he learned the ropes and then they fired him. That is the MO that we’re hearing about the fate of blue collar workers around California.

Jay despised illegal immigrants. He felt they stole his JOB, they ruined his career and life and they did! The union fired him five years shy of complete retirement.

And yes, my buddy Jay was totally screwed. Jay Justice blogged for a while, at the TheogJayBird, “I come from the school of hard knocks with a tough upbringing, which I sometimes hate to admit. I would of much rather been born with a silver spoon in my mouth.” Jay was too depressed to do much with his blog.

However his rage towards illegal immigrants couldn’t be contained on his blog. “To all my fellow Americans, I picked this little bit out dated article to write about because it is something I truly feel strongly about, because it hit so close to home.

I myself, am a third generation native San Franciscan and have been in the construction industry for more than twenty-five years.  I am one of many of those misplaced American workers that President Obama is exterminating from the work force.

Before the recession hit, economists say the wage and salary commercial and residential  construction industry employed some were around 7.2 million workers , it now employees around 5.4 million..

Out of those 5.4 million working it's estimated that over 60% are illegal’s that's over 2.2 million Americans that could be working if Barack Obama (AKA Felipe Gomez) would do his job and secure are leaking border.

It seems  obvious that he doesn't give a rats ass of the invasion of illegal’s stealing Hard working American jobs here in my own back yard. THEOGJAYBIRD

I told Jay so many times to keep the chin-up don’t give up on hope, if you do, it’s all over for you, and sadly it was.

Mark, that's a great article and it's also very sad. i wonder if I ever met him back when we were hanging out in the Mission. By the way, you're more than welcome to stop by MW sometime. I'm there a lot and you-know-who doesn't work there anymore.

"There are two major developments, she says, that are new this year and insufficiently noted, but they're going to shape election outcomes in 2010 and beyond. First, Washington is being revealed in a new way.

The American people now know, "with real sophistication," everything that happens in the capital. "I find a much more knowledgeable electorate, and it is a real-time response," Ms. Blackburn says. "We hear about it even as the vote is taking place."

Voters come to rallies carrying research—"things they pulled off the Internet, forwarded emails," copies of bills, roll-call votes. The Internet isn't just a tool for organization and fund-raising. It has given citizens access to information they never had before. "The more they know," Ms. Blackburn observes, "the less they like Washington."-Tennessee Representative Marsha Blackburn
