2012 Poll analysis: As it stands now, don’t be too surprised we’re going to see the reverse of American politics in the upcoming 2012 elections. 

We could be seeing a Republican presidency, with bigger Democrat control of the U.S. Senate and with GOP/Republicans barely holding the majority in the U.S. House.

After GOP political disasters of 2000 to 2006, who had total control of the U.S. presidency and congress, and then after the Democrat’s FIASCOS of 2008 to 2012, when they had total control of the presidency and U.S. congress, voters have learned that same PARTY control of Washington is not the solution.

It’s a power grab within the parties to pass unpopular, special interests laden and crony agendas, rather than finding REAL solutions for the public at large. In other words American voters, mainly Independents, will make sure this would NEVER happen for quite a while.

I Marc Chamot, a VERY strong believer of polls, they are scientific and pretty much accurate, but whether by sheer ignorance or arrogance, Washington politicians don’t want to believe in polls, or just ignore them all together.

Leading into the 2006 congressional Midterm elections, unpopular GOP/Republicans under former President George Bush, totally ignored polls that were showing they were going to get a drumming in the upcoming elections and they DID.

Then leading up to the 2010 Midterms, polls showed that Democrats were going to get another trouncing, they ignored the polls, including Obama and they did. Waves of GOP/Republicans took back the house.

Now polls everywhere are showing President Obama’s slimmer hopes of getting re-elected for a second term, and polls are showing that GOP/Republicans are going to LOSE more seats in the U.S. Senate, and possible lose some of their House majority.

Why? It’s no brainer folks. The state of the economy is going to be President Obama’s undoing. Even though the 2012 elections are a year and a half away, there is absolutely no time for President Obama to reverse the economic disasters that has befallen upon this nation.

Not only VOTERS are very disillusioned with Obama’s sorry performance, voters are not happy with GOP/Republicans in the U.S. Senate and the House either. Mainly the powerful voting blocs of Independents, they despise current crops of GOP/Republicans in U.S. congress far more than President Obama.

Every poll is showing that. With this in mind, it does not make any sense as to why voters will vote for very unpopular Republicans, when they are far more unpopular in Congress than Democrats.

Now, just 41 percent of registered voters say they would send the president back to the White House while 40 percent prefer to elect a Republican candidate, according to a Pew Research Center survey. In May, the president led a generic Republican, 48 percent to 37 percent.

The Pew poll suggests independent voters are driving this drop. In May, 42 percent of independents supported Obama's re-election, while 35 percent preferred his challenger. Now, that figure is upside down: 31 percent of independents are inclined to vote for him in 2012 while 39 percent want to replace him with a Republican.

Additionally, 54 percent of independents disapprove of Obama's job performance while 36 percent say he is doing a good job as president, down 13 points since May. Among all registered voters, his approval ratings are under water, 48 percent to 44 percent.”

Recently another poll by Zogby/Newsmax Poll: Most Don’t Trust Obama on Economy “More than half of all voters do not trust President Barack Obama to lead America back to economic prosperity, according to an exclusive Newsmax poll.

And the young who turned out in such great numbers for Obama in 2008 have even less confidence in him than those in any other age groups, shows the poll conducted by IBOPE Zogby. Only one in six of those under 24 say they trust Obama.

That could spell disaster for the president next year when he faces voters again, IBOPE Zogby chairman John Zogby told Newsmax. “I don’t see the younger group flipping and voting Republican,” he said. “But I can see them not voting in great numbers. The president cannot win reelection unless he can turn out the support of younger voters.

“They had very high expectations in 2008, but the economy has squeezed them and a significant number have found they aren’t able to get a real start.”

As Obama loses the youth vote, the signs are that those vying to be his Republican opponent at next year’s election see an opportunity to jump in.

The poll comes at a time that Obama’s base appears to be crumbling beneath him. A separate Washington Post-ABC survey shows a huge drop in the number of minority voters and liberals who strongly support the president’s record on jobs and the economy.”

“He has to be deeply concerned that voters simply do not trust him on the economy. We’re getting into campaign mode at a time when the majority does not trust his leadership when it comes to moving the economy forward.

“But at the end of the day the focus on the election is going to be on the economy and the president starts with a deficit.”

Another worrying point for the president is the trust factor among Independent voters who are split 2-1 with the majority saying they do not trust him.

The poll showed that women have significantly more trust in the president than men, with 44.3 percent saying they trust him as opposed to 33.5 percent of men. Among those in families which include either a serving member of the Armed Forces or a veteran 57.1 percent say they do not trust their Commander-in-Chief when it comes to the economy, compared to 52.1 percent of non-military families.

And older people have a higher opinion of the president on trust than the younger, but even among the most supportive group, those over 70, he still cannot command a majority, with only 45.8 percent saying they trust him.

Worst news for President Obama is that he is also losing his key voting bloc with the majority of Millennial VOTERS, WHITE VOTERS ages 25 to early thirties, most of them in the Midwest, those who voted for him in large numbers in 2008.

 There has been big movement among whites. In 2008 they were 51 to 40 percent Republican. In the first half of 2011 they were 56 to 35 percent Republican -- more Republican than Southern whites were three years ago.

The most noteworthy movement among whites has been among voters under 30, the so-called millennial generation. Millennials voted 66 to 32 percent for Barack Obama in 2008 and identified as Democrats rather than Republicans by a 60 to 32 percent margin.

But white Millennials have been moving away from the Democrats. The Democratic edge in party identification among white Millennials dropped from 7 points in 2008 to 3 points in 2009 to a 1-point Republican edge in 2010 and an 11-point Republican lead in 2011.

There have been shifts of similar magnitude among whites who are low-income, who have no more than a high school education, and who live in the Midwest.”

Poll: Obama loses double-digit lead with independents “President Obama’s appeal among independent voters appears to be slipping, and as a result, he has lost his double-digit lead in polls that measure whether the president or an unnamed Republican is favored to win the White House in 2012.

A new Pew Research Center poll among registered voters, conducted July 20-24, found that 41 percent favor Mr. Obama in next year's presidential election, while 40 percent favor a Republican candidate. In May, Obama held an 11-point lead over a generic Republican candidate.”

With Obama's base tarnished, without most of the WHITE vote and Independent support, it's highly unlikely he'll be able to REPEAT the 2008 miracles again. So that takes care of President Obama’s re-election’s dilemmas. So how about GOP/Republicans?

Tea Party Support For The Republican Congress Plunges “A new Pew poll released today contains some ominous omens for the Republican Party. As national support for the Tea Party declines, support of Republicans by Tea Partiers is also in decline. Only 19% of Americans support the Tea Party now, and within the Tea Party support for the GOP budget plan has dropped from 74% to 52%.

The latest Pew Research Poll has found that the American people are growing disgruntled with divided Congress’ inability to do anything, and they are blaming the Republicans for the lack of progress. The big problem that Republicans face is that they sold their supporters an ambitious and completely politically unrealistic budget and deficit reduction plan that they have not been able to deliver.

After the 2010 elections 35% of Republicans supported their party’s deficit plan, support has now fallen to 22%. Republican candidates used the Tea Party to gain control of the House of Representatives, but there are dangerous signs that these same voters have already grown impatient with the GOP. Support for the Republican Party’s deficit reduction plan among Tea Partiers has plunged from 75% just after the election to 52% now.”

CNN Poll: Democrats up 50-46 percent in battle for House “According to a CNN/Opinion Research Corporation survey released Tuesday, the Democrats have a four-point margin over the Republicans in the battle for control of Congress. The poll indicates that 50 percent registered voters say if the election for Congress was held today, they would vote for the Democrat in their district, with 46 percent saying they would cast a ballot for the Republican in their district. The Democrats' four-point margin is within the poll's sampling error.”

Unless there is a BIG improvement in the direction of this country coming from both parties, it’s no-brainer folks; voters are going to PUNISH President Obama, along with these ineffective crops of GOP/Republicans in 2012. This is what I am currently seeing in the polls, and there’s no doubt about it!

The wealth gap between white, black Americans and Hispanic/ Latinos, is the widest it has been in the 25 years since the government has kept figures on economic net worth’s of all races.

Pew Research Center crunched up some 2010 census figures on American races and their net worth’s. But somehow, it sounded kind of racist to me; however the Census showed all races were pretty damaged, economically by current economic recession that has afflicted this nation.

During the recessions dating back from 2005 to 2009, white Americans have lost only 16% of their Net worth, while African Americans lost 53% and Hispanic/Latino communities lost a bigger share, a whopping 66% of their Net worth.

The 2010 Census also showed that Hispanic households lost 74% of real estate investments, the most of any group during the real estate crisis.

The ratio of wealth between Hispanics and whites more than doubled in the last five years. Basically, Pew is saying whites are keeping their wealth far better during the recession, while U.S. Blacks and Latinos are getting poorer and going to the POOR house during this recession.

In regards to the nation’s African Americans, it’s obvious and I will say it again; President Obama has NOT done anything to improve the chaotic economical ‘employment’ conditions for African Americans. Actually, they are worse off under Obama than they were under any previous administrations. According to a posted comment in the same article;

“How many black Americans lost their jobs when Obama ordered the Boeing factory shut down?
How many black Americans lost their jobs when Obama ordered the closure of dozens of drilling rigs?
How many black Americans will lose their jobs when Obama's lieutenant Jeff Immelt moves GE's X-ray business to China?
How many black Americans will lose their jobs as Obama closes down coal power plants?
How many black Americans will lose their jobs as Obama orders light bulb factories to close?
How many black Americans will lose their jobs when Obamacare crushes small business hiring?”

Those are valid points, but then again, another oft ignored valid point that is killing America’s blacks from working opportunities, is the president insistence for supporting legalization of illegal immigrants, those who are in direct competition with African Americans in most jobs.

Why are U.S. Hispanics/Latinos most affected by this recession? And so, what do they want us to do? Bail them out too?

It’s obvious to me there is RACE envy behind this report and I don’t like it There are other sinister FACTS that most pro-Latino groups, such as Pew Hispanic Center wants to ignore, as to why Hispanics are MOST affected by this economy.

Number one, communications, this recession has brought about an abundance of new competitors for available JOBS. 

Whereas before, jobs that unemployed ‘White’ Americans wouldn’t do, employers are taking another look towards the more EDUCATED English speakers in lieu of uneducated non-English speakers, they might be pay a little more, but return on investment is well worth it.

Many ‘white’ Americans have lowered their JOB and wage standards and expectations, in other words, they are more willing to work for less to remain employed, rather than live with menial government handouts.

‘White’ Americans have changed their living standards far better than most; they are learning to live with what they have and within their means, ‘White Americans’ are learning that they can live happier lives without having to spend for extravagant things.

That is one chief reason why major items retailers are hurting in sales. White Americans don’t have that extra money to spend on major items anymore, because they are taking bigger pay cuts due to bad economy, being more EDUCATED, they are intruding into former Hispanic/Latino jobs territories.

Hispanic/Latino workers are too overrated as workers, especially the uneducated and illiterate ‘Chacareros,’ those uneducated and illiterate farmers, mainly those from Central and South America, who have been invading this nation for decades.

American employers are finally realizing, these workers are not deemed to what they are purported to be as reliable workers. In San Francisco I was involved with the newspaper industries for years, out of extensive newspaper distribution experience; I have discovered that these Hispanic workers were very unreliable in unsupervised settings.

They are bred in Central and Latin America to work under constant supervision, and they have to be watched constantly and have to be instructed every minute on what they have to do.

Most cannot work under unsupervised settings, and that’s where their bad habits occur, such as in the newspaper distribution, most of them end up DUMPING newspapers at recycling centers en masse, instead of properly delivering newspaper materials to homes honestly.

The way the economy is now, employers want to cut down on supervisors, SO they want WORKERS who they can communicate easily, who are HONEST and can work in unsupervised settings.

Do I feel sorry for the Hispanic/Latino’s plights in this current economy? No! They are primarily culpable as to why they are within the 66% loss of wealth of all races.

They’ve driven down wages and income for all Americans, including theirs. They would go to prospective employers and ask “what are you paying YOUR guy? I can do that same JOB for half the hourly wage that you are currently paying and I can do it better.”

On their QUEST to steal available American jobs, they in turn killed themselves financially, by cutthroat wages all around, it’s pure and simple.

Take for instance San Francisco. I was apartment hunting recently, back around the 1990’s I did numerous stints as apartment manager to supplement the city’s excessive and costly rents. I would sometimes manage apartment buildings so I could get a break on rent. In the past, I would normally get ‘free’ rent, and a small salary, depending on the size of the units.

First, I was shocked at the lack of availability for apartment managers in the city. Back around the 80’s to 90’s, there were apartment managers galore, they came a dime a dozen, when I went out door to door to find my new place, I was shocked at the number of Hispanics/Latinos with limited English, who have taken over these apartment managerial JOBS.

Not only that, those managers do not have to do any paper work or anything else associated with rental agreements, their sole duty is to keep the premises and vacant apartments clean, during my apartment hunting, practically EVERY building run by Latinos, were unkempt and filthy.

I also discovered bad attitudes, some of those Hispanic managers weren’t too happy with their work. As it turns OUT, MOST of them were doing the work for half their rent! In other words, they are doing a lot of work, and on top of it, they still have to pay rent? It shows you folks, how apartment management in San Francisco, went from ‘free’ rent to a possible salary, all the way down to half the rent, for the same work that people did in the 80’s and 90’s! That’s incredible!

In essence, why should I feel sorry for their plight? After these FACTS, why should any American feel sorry for their plight? They brought it all upon themselves.

There are other factors that are placing Hispanic/Latinos in the bottom of the American economic ladder. It’s about the nation’s real estate mess.

Hispanics are 74%, the highest in real estate losses of all races. But are they really? This is what I am hearing from some of the city’s Latino immigrants.

These are the FACTS that American left-wing Media and their pro-immigration cronies wants TO KEEP FROM YOU;

It’s true they are the highest of all races in real estate losses, however many benefited a lot when real estate had its value. I heard it bragged around on how they took thousands of dollars in second mortgages and home loans right before the crisis, many ended up being ‘financial’ winners, even after losing their homes. In other words they scammed and played the system in their favor.

A good many Latinos, never lost any money in their homes, they actually made money by keeping moneys borrowed towards their homes and NEVER paying it back to the bank. We taxpayers had to foot the BILL on this real estate scam to banks who lost billions of dollars in this scam.

Among other factors that is hurting Hispanics in the U.S., with their culture of sending their earnings outside the US to family members, as well as returning to their country of origin to retire, when money is accumulated, all of which is draining U.S. wealth and keeps them in POVERTY here, UNTIL American taxpayers have to FOOT their welfare costs.

Yes folks, they have been gaming and playing our system very well. It’s payback time, and their greed and misdeeds finally catching up to them.

Again, more people applied for unemployment benefits last week. Layoffs and jobs losses keep rising, but there’s no ending in sight. 

Unemployment application benefits rose by 10,000, to a seasonal adjustment of 418,000 says U.S. Labor Department.

Unemployment applications have topped 400,000 for 15 straight weeks. Consumers have cut back in spending, besieged by high unemployment fears and stagnant wages. Basically, President Obama and this U.S. Congress have not found nor cared to find immediate solutions for our economical ills. Americans are suffering more than EVER.

With disastrous figures like these, this is not the TIME to be talking about cutting social services, and other safety nets that unemployed Americans depend on.

According to U.S.A Today/Gallup polls, 39% of polled VOTERS are saying, “This is absolutely the WORST U.S. congress they have ever seen in their lifetimes!” Basically, U.S. VOTERS are giving both Obama and U.S. congress the worst marks than any of their predecessors in dealing with the nation’s WOES.

‘Americans aren't pleased by the political shenanigans they are seeing in down-to-the-wire negotiations over the debt ceiling.’

Two-thirds of the VOTERS think that both parties, Democrats and Republicans, put political interests ahead of the people’s or the countries. Only 7% are saying that both parties are negotiating in good faith!

“They ARE not listening to Americans,” said Cary Lefkowitz, a Democrat from L.A. President Obama’s approval rating is at 45%, while congressional Democrats 33% and congressional Republicans at 28%.

But New poll carries warning signs for Obama in 2012 “A poll released last Wednesday carried warning signs for President Barack Obama's re-election chances in 2012.

The Public Policy Polling survey found that for the first time since July, Obama does not lead Republican front-runner Mitt Romneyin the group's monthly national poll on the 2012 election race. Romney has pulled into a tie with Obama at 45 percent.

Obama's overall approval rating was at 46 percent, with 48 percent of voters disapproving of him, and this is in line with other recent surveys.

But independents were split against Obama 49 percent to 44 percent, and the president will need independent voters to help carry him to victory in November 2012.

Independents broke solidly for Obama in his 2008 election but helped Republicans win the U.S. House of Representatives in last November's congressional elections.

Obama's approval rating has been in the doldrums because of the 9.2 percent U.S. jobless rate and prolonged wrangling with Congress over raising the U.S. debt ceiling.

The polling organization said on its website that Obama's position appeared worse than meets the eye.

"There's a very good chance Barack Obama would lose if he had to stand for re-election today," said Dean Debnam, president of Public Policy Polling. "This is his worst poll standing in a long time and he really needs the economy to start turning around."

This is the BIG PRICE politicians are paying for taking foreign and other special interests, i.e. Wall Street over struggling Americans.

That’s why it would be disastrous for Washington to cut Social Security, Medicaid and other survival benefits, when so many Americans are OUT of work. It would be POLITICAL suicide for any politician to even think about it.

It would be much easier to revise our unbalanced trade accords that we have with China, India and Brazil, and even cut into the Federal government workforce, before screwing unemployed Americans benefits.

Reviving lost industries that have escaped abroad to Taiwan, Singapore, and China should be first act of congress. Let’s put it this way my ‘friends,’ China, India and Brazil WILL NOT get you re-elected, we do, the American VOTER will be the one that PUTS you back into office.

However, another U.S.A Today alarming report just came out. While private sector workers are losing their JOBS in droves, only death is more likely for someone to lose a Federal JOB.

“Federal employees' job security is so great that workers in many agencies are more likely to die of natural causes than get laid off or fired, a USA TODAY analysis finds. “They are all living well ‘high off the hog’ at taxpayer’s expense, while the rest of us peons are struggling and being trampled all over.”

More from USA Today; “Death -- rather than poor performance, misconduct or layoffs -- is the primary threat to job security at theEnvironmental Protection Agency, the Small Business Administration, the Department of Housing and Urban Development, the Office of Management and Budget and a dozen other federal operations.

The federal government fired 0.55% of its workers in the budget year that ended Sept. 30 -- 11,668 employees in its 2.1 million workforce.

Research shows that the private sector fires about 3% of workers annually for poor performance, says John Palguta, former research chief at the federal Merit Systems Protection Board, which handles federal firing disputes.

Federal job security contrasts with the constant churn in the private sector. Among this week's announced pending private job cuts: 10,000 at Borders bookstores, 6,500 at computer giant Cisco Systems and 1,000 at Goldman Sachs investment bank.

The job security rate for all federal workers was 99.43% last year and nearly 100% for those on the job more than a few years.

HUD spokesman Jerry Brown says his department's low dismissal rate -- providing a 99.85% job security rate for employees -- shows a skilled and committed workforce. "We've never focused on firing people, and we don't intend to start now. We're more focused on hiring the right people," he says.

San Francisco State University management professor John Sullivan, an expert on employee turnover, says the low departure rates show a failure to release poor performers and those with obsolete skills. "Rather than indicating something positive, rates below 1% in the firing and layoff components would indicate a serious management problem," he says.

The government laid off 385 people in reorganizations last year -- a 0.02% rate, or one in every 6,000 employees. No comparable private sector layoff rate is available.

USA TODAY analyzed the Office of Personnel Management's database to examine federal job security. Firings are for all reasons, including poor performance, stealing and sexual harassment. The Postal Service and uniformed military personnel are not included in the data.

White-collar federal workers have almost total job security after a few years on the job. Last year, the government fired none of its 3,000 meteorologists, 2,500 health insurance administrators, 1,000 optometrists, 800 historians or 500 industrial property managers.

The nearly half-million federal employees earning $100,000 or more enjoyed a 99.82% job security rate in 2010. Only 27 of 35,000 federal attorneys were fired last year. None was laid off. Death claimed 33.

When it comes to cutting Social Security and other welfare needs, why not start with the drug addicted DEAD weights?

One way to curb illicit drugs and save billions, it’s to clean up welfare recipients who are chronic drug users: It’s time to get serious about alcohol and drug use by Social Security Insurance, SSDI and Food Stamp recipients.

Here in San Francisco, it is estimated that a large amount of welfare recipients are homeless, chronic alcoholic and drug users, and they keep collecting monthly taxpayer welfare checks, which is supposed to be used for housing and personal upkeep. Instead, those people live on the streets, only because they are using every dime they have to finance their addictions.

We’re NOT doing those people any favors with these current policies in place, and we’re definitely not helping them get out the RUT they are into either. We’re not making mandatory policies where they have to get treatment for their addictions, counseling and periodic drug tests while receiving government welfare checks or aid.

There are NO incentives for government supported substance abusers. It is it’s basically come get your monthly checks at taxpayer’s expense and live your life as you well darn please.

At a TIME when congress is looking to cut billions or even trillions out of social services and Mexican drug cartels are inflicting havoc and mayhem south of the border, it’s NOW time to let chronic drug users and alcoholics go without any taxpayer’s help. We cannot afford it! It’s taking valuable money away, from decent folks who want to make their lives better in a BAD economy.

If they do want the help, then they’ve better work for it and prove that they can be re-habilitated back into society. In other words folks, they’ve BETTER work towards being productive citizens, rather than being DEAD weights to society.

The bottom line: Our government shouldn’t be in the business of financing illegal drugs for welfare recipients, while fighting illicit Mexican drugs and their Cartels; this does not make any sense at all.

From Crook to Mayor; traditions of former corruptive mayor Willie Lewis Brown is still alive and well in San Francisco. Believe it or not, Leland Yee is the current front runner for San Francisco mayor in these upcoming elections.

Current California State Senator Leland Yee is the Asian version of Race Card pundits, Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson has a RAP sheet.

In the July 20 to 26^th issue of the San Francisco weekly; revealed about Yee’s lack of explanation while San Francisco city supervisor, with a salary of $42,500 had a $60,000 dollars a year mortgage.

They also revealed that Leland Yee was arrested in a San Francisco in a prostitution dragnet, on Capp Street back around 1999 and thus was arrested. Senator Leland Yee has had other run-ins with the law. He was arrested for shoplifting, of all things, suntan lotion for his wife, in Keauhou Hawaii, back around 1992.  

His children were forcibly removed out of a school in San Francisco for falsifying his home address and were also accused for altering medical records for recipients of his nonprofits to defraud government taxpayers. Leland Yee was accused of altering medical records for recipients of his non-profit to scheme, or bilk money from the government back in 1991.

Just LIKE former Mayor, Willie Lewis Brown, current OP-ED writer for the San Francisco Chronicle, Leland Yee is a special interests kind of guy; Yee sponsored 54 bills to organizations that GAVE him $188,755 in campaign contributions.

As always, the leaders of political dysfunctional liberal-left city of San Francisco, it was once keeping criminal illegal immigrant fingerprints from the Feds and now wants to make FELONS a protected class. 

No kidding folks! Ex-cons will be among protected class of African Americans, Latinos, Gays, Drags and disabled people.

A proposal at City, Silly-Hall would make it illegal for land lords and employers to discriminate against felons, but those who commit sex crimes and violent crimes, would not be covered under the city’s protection policy.

Basically it would make it illegal in San Francisco for employers and landlords to ‘ask’ anyone about their criminal past. 

The Reentry Council of San Francisco, made up of representatives of the mayor, police, DA’s George Gascon, the sheriff’s office and the adult probation department are all pushing for this insane policy.

Ex-cons are already protected classes, when they apply for public, city jobs and public housing. However, there was a recent scandal within the Department of Public Works where a former gang member had been hired, and he ended up being shot to death, through his gang affiliations at a pizzeria on 24th and Potrero, around September 2009.

Francisco Cornejo, 26, and Francisco Pena, 41, of San Francisco, died in the shooting, which was reported shortly after 4 p.m. near Papa Potrero's Pizza, located at 2700 24th St., according to the medical examiner's office.

However, one of them worked for the city’s Public Works Department.

Okay folks, I am a military Veteran, and I have come across a number of Vets, who are struggling to get JOBS, because of their mistakes. Grant it, I do believe everybody should get an opportunity to change their lives around and even ex-cons, but not this way.

I believe it’s morally wrong forcing employers or landlords to hire and rent, to people they don’t want or LIKE. 
And secondly, making ‘felons’ a protected class, it’s an insult to other protected classes, such as the gay and minority communities. Lumping felons among them, it’s an absolute insult.

Being a felon is criminality, where as being minority or gay is not and above all it’s dangerous. They’re putting innocent people’s lives at risk by placing habitual felons around people’s environment.

I think there are better ways for San Francisco to get felons hired, or providing housing for them, through encouragements, tax breaks, aid and other benefits. If San Francisco sets up a monitoring system, where they can vouch for the ex-con that’s even better. Felons should work harder and prove themselves, rather than being handed out protections.

The San Francisco Chronicle has a great editorial about this idiocy. SF should not make felons a 'protected class' “The latest eye-rolling idea to emerge in San Francisco City Hall would bestow "protected class" status on ex-convicts when they apply for housing and employment.

While the challenge of finding a job and a place to live when you have "felon" stamped on your application is a serious societal problem, this overreaching solution is an example of the fuzzy-headed thinking that makes San Francisco politics such rich fodder for late-night comedy and cable commentators.

This proposal makes a mockery of the concept of providing protection from discrimination on the basis of being African American, Latino, gay, transgender, pregnant or disabled.

Felons, by contrast, are defined by their actions - their criminal actions. Once they have served their time, they deserve a chance to rebuild their lives, but the idea that they should be insulated from any and all concerns that a landlord or employer might have about their criminal history is just preposterous.

Even more troubling is the prospect that such a law would give ex-convicts the ability to file discrimination lawsuits if they were denied housing or employment.

Asked whether he would sign such a measure if the Board of Supervisors were to pass it, Mayor Ed Lee said he was sensitive to the need to give felons a chance to reintegrate into society, but was skeptical of the notion of making them a protected class. He suggested he would look for alternative ways for the city to help ex-cons secure jobs and housing.

City Hall should shelve this idea of making criminals a "protected class" before it goes any further.”

One thing that is pretty laughable; GOP/Republicans like to place the entire blame on President Obama, but want to ignore their inadequacies’ on the matter themselves. In other words, just as Obama, GOP/Republicans have no real answer for the nations’ jobs problems.  

Friday’s jobs report was grimmer. U.S. unemployment rose to 9.2 percent, but obviously President Obama’s loony trillion dollars economic stimulus WAS a total failure.

In essence, according to Bureau of Labor and statistics, the ENTIRE U.S. created only 18,000 JOBS in June! But not only President Obama is seeing this nation deteriorating to its core, so is our U.S. congress.

One of the biggest problems facing this country, not only millions of Americans still out of work and so are millions of foreign immigrants. The spigots haven’t been shut; we’ve still got waves of foreign immigrants coming into this country, when there are practically no jobs available for many American citizens.

 Each year, US immigration STILL allows a total of 66,000 US H-2B visas to foreigners. “Out of these, 33,000 are for the first half of the year (i.e. from 1st October to 31st March) and the remaining 33,000 US H-2B visas for the second half of the financial year (i.e. from 1st April to 30th September).

A large number of applications for US H-2B category visas (non-agricultural temporary worker program) for the year 2011 are getting approved by the US immigration department.

Out of the half-yearly quota of 33,000 US temporary work visas for the 1st half of 2011, nearly 4,835 applications for temporary US work visas had been approved till 10th September 2010. And around 1,129 applications for temporary US work visas have not been approved by the US immigration department.”

And the number of H1B visas issued each year is subject to a cap determined by US Congress. The cap for those VISAS is currently set at 85,000.”

With ONLY 18,000 U.S. jobs CREATED in June, while capping a TOTAL of 151,000 immigrants migrating into the U.S. for 2011-2012, doesn’t make any ‘freaking’ sense! Our U.S. Congress and Obama don’t make any sense either!

So WE all got to suffer, right?  Another disaster is looming coming December, when unemployment for millions more Americans will run out. Roughly 15 million Americans are out of work. One third of those people are currently receiving unemployment insurance. “At the end of this month, if Congress does not change things, 1.2 million people will see their unemployment insurance expire -- a number that will increase each subsequent month if no extension to benefits is granted.”

An extraordinary amount of personal income is coming directly from the government. “Close to $2 of every $10 that went into Americans’ wallets last year were payments like jobless benefits, food stamps, Social Security and disability, according to an analysis by Moody’s Analytics. In states hit hard by the downturn, like Arizona, Florida, Michigan and Ohio, residents derived even more of their income from the government.

By the end of this year, however, many of those dollars are going to disappear, with the expiration of extended benefits intended to help people cope with the lingering effects of the recession. Moody’s Analytics estimates $37 billion will be drained from the nation’s pocketbooks this year.

In terms of economic impact, that is slightly less than the spending cuts Congress enacted to keep the government financed through September, averting a shutdown.

Unless hiring picks up sharply to compensate, economists fear that the lost income will further crimp consumer spending and act as a drag on a recovery that is still quite fragile. Among the other supports that are slipping away are federal aid to the states, the Federal Reserve’s program to pump money into the economy and the payroll tax cut, scheduled to expire at the end of the year.

“If we don’t get more job growth and gains in wages and salaries, then consumers just aren’t going to have the firepower to spend, and the economy is going to weaken,” said Mark Zandi, chief economist of Moody’s Analytics, a macroeconomic consulting firm.”

On top of millions of Americans who stopped looking for work, According to the Examiner.com opinion piece, labor-force participation among working-age Americans have fallen to a 27-year low of 64.1 percent and employed people now make up 58.2% of the working age civilian population.

However, it’s not all due to Obama’s ‘green’ policies as some conservatives want to suggest. Conservatives still believe that draconian green policies coming from the White House is to blame, for most jobs losses around the nation, while conservatives are totally ignoring the BIG elephant in the room, Chinese trade deficits.

“President Barack Obama in 2010 set a goal of doubling exports in five years to help fuel economic growth and bring down the U.S. unemployment rate, which remains above 9 percent.”

However, here are the REAL FACTS; “the politically sensitive trade gap with China jumped more than 15 percent to $25 billion. U.S. companies imported $32.8 billion of goods, and services from the Asian powerhouse during May, but exported a MEASLY $7.8 billion worth to that country.”

There’s something very wrong with this picture folks, and any moron or high school drop-out can see something doesn’t ADD-up with those crazy figures.

U.S. Trade Deficit Widens to $50.2 Billion in May “The U.S. trade gap widened much more than expected in May as a jump in oil prices helped push imports to the second highest level on record and exports fell slightly from April's record high, a U.S. government report showed on Tuesday.

The trade deficit totaled $50.2 billion, the highest since October 2008, and well above the consensus estimate of $44.0 billion from Wall Street analysts surveyed before the report.

Imports rose 2.6 percent to $225.1 billion, the highest since the record of $231.6 billion set in July 2008 just before the global financial crisis took a huge toll on global trade.

 In worrisome sign for U.S. exports to China in June, recent data out of Beijing shows the country's imports that month were the weakest in 20 months.

The wider trade gap with China could propel efforts in Congress to pass legislation aimed at pressuring Beijing to raise the value of its yuan currency, which critics charge is artificially weak against the dollar and gives Chinese exporters an unfair advantage.”

Democrats and GOP’s never ending love affairs with China. It’s a viscous circle folks; we’ve got two parties and their politicians, who have big LOVE affairs with Wall Street for campaign moneys, who in turn have LOVE affairs with China, for cheaper labor and subsidized government shipping for their products back into the U.S.

In other words, translated, American JOBS are in Asia not in the U.S.

But the bigger problem is with GOP/Republicans, while they are trying to put the blame Obama for his insane green policies’ run amuck, which is true, but the bigger underlining American economical and JOBS problems is China, with their free trades, open globalizations and uncontrolled foreign migrations, that’s killing American job opportunities.

We’re all fighting for whatever little job opportunities are available, but of course, GOP/Republicans want to hide those FACTS.
